I want to take a few minutes to share how wonderful my families stay was while staying at the Langham due to the impeccable service from your staff. EVERY single staff member was amazing during my stay, and I was constantly greeted with the utmost professionalism by the Langham team. Tony (Driton) was always kind, attentive, to my needs, and personally went out of his way to locate my baby carrier when it went missing. Due to crowds, I was not able to use a stroller, so without my daughter's carrier we may have missed out on a good experience at Rockefeller Center, Macy's to see Santa, Broadway plays we had booked - just to name a few. My trip in New York would not have been the same without him. Thank you Driton!
Jonathan was such a great person to greet me at check in, had my family laughing, what an amazing personality, and went above and beyond to make sure we kicked off our vacation just the right way. Thank you Jonathan!
Kenneth, and Shaun, and the other door guys all did such a great job of opening the door for my family, greeted us as we waked in and out, was quick to light up my smoke when I needed one, brought my wife a heater outside while we waited for car service, and always kept us engaged in great conversation. They felt like buddies to me and the family while we stayed there.
James was there for me every step of the way to address my requests, Zoltan greeted us, walked us to our room, and made us feel right at home. Every time I saw him, he greeted me, and was a great guy to deal with.
We primarily ate al Fiori, and the food was just amazing. I occasionally wake up from a dream where I am enjoying one of the french style omelettes your team prepared for us. Such a simple dish, prepared amazingly. At dinner your team went above and beyond, and the family I invited to join us, said it was the best dinner they EVER had!!!
The rooms are HUGE, we were overlooking the Empire State Building, with PLENTY of space for our whole family. My wife loved her spa treatment, and said it may have been the best massage she ever received...
I know I am leaving people out that were there during our stay, but everyone was so amazing for our family vacation from December 20-24th. Anyone on staff during that holiday week, did such an amazing job, despite it being a week where I'm sure they all prefer to all be with their families, and at home, they always treated my family, like family.
I can't say enough about how great you guys all are. I was sad to leave your team, and the hotel because it was a great experience for a family that travels a lot, so we know good staff when we experience it. We can't wait to come visit again.
I hope to make a trip from S Florida very soon to visit my Langham...
Read moreAn opening disclaimer for this review: I never write reviews for products and services. I read them all the time, naturally; I have to in order to help separate the BS from the truth. Rarely, however, do I ever take the time (or finish if I choose to start) to write a review for the benefit of others. Hell, this may not even really be for anybody's benefit...this may just be an outlet for me to gush while I stare at inadequate hotel listings in a less world-renowned region.
Here's the meat of the story. In 2012, I booked a special promotion, directly via the hotel, for a two-nights-for-one price on one of their suites. Though the circumstances (and name/ownership) may have changed since my stay nearly three years ago, I have never (and may never again) stayed at a better hotel, despite my best efforts stateside and abroad.
The suites here sport unparallelled sophistication, with room designs that scream luxury while never crossing the line into frivolity. The concept of having a dedicated assistant separated from the primary duties of the front desk is put to excellent use here, and further magnifies the exemplary level of round-the-clock service already evidenced in a top-notch room service menu (at an incredibly reasonable price, to my surprise), the provision and replenishment of room amenities, and friendly/helpful attitudes of every employee I encountered. I am not nor did I ever look the part of wealthy businessman or royalty, but over the course of my stay here I always FELT like one. It looked and felt like I was 100% provided for, like there was no request I could have that would go unfulfilled. This hotel single-handedly instilled in me a craving for and discerning attitude towards quality that has yet to be completely satisfied by any hotel since.
Perhaps when you're dropping as much dough as you drop at a place like this, everything I've said simply goes without saying, and the opinions of one as pedestrian as I bear less gravity than a feather floating in the exosphere. Furthermore, I'm sure that with even more money, I would've found some place even more breathtaking. Nevertheless, as I sit here at this moment searching somewhat frustratedly for passably similar four/five-star locations in the smaller city of Baltimore (which includes a Four Seasons that was MORE expensive and LESS amazing during my last stay), I can't help but think back to my amazing time at the Setai and wonder when I'll be in the position...
Read moreI booked this hotel for 2 nights and both nights were exceptional. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. They remember your name, they greet you any chance they get and they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I seen one of the bellman floating around on the floor a couple of times and he went out of his way to ask me about my day and things I mentioned prior that most people probably would have forgot about. I forgot a tie and needed one badly for an event. I did some Google searching about where to get one and knew there was a Macy's around, just didn't know exactly what direction. The receptionist walked me out of the hotel and pointed me in the right direction and gave me further directions.
The cleaning staff made sure my room was in tip top shape and even when I was in the room, they asked me what a good time to come back and clean would be. I told them and low and behold when I came back to my room for the evening, everything was like it was when I first walked in. Except my gym shirt I had hanging to dry over the shower rod was now on a hanger in the bathroom. Wonderful. The bathroom has this 3ft deep tub. Literally about 3 ft. Amazing. If you are on the shorter end, getting in and out my be a little rough but you can sit and then swing your legs into it. It's the perfect size for a bath for almost all sizes. I'm 6'1 220lbs and I fit comfortably. There is also the shower head directly overhead which is nice. There are all the toiletries needed from q-tips to nail files inside the bathroom for use. The soaps are all super great quality.
The room is a good size and the bed is very comfortable. The mini fridge is stocked with beer, wine, soft drinks, and energy drinks. There is also a coffee espresso machine along with mini snack boxes for those late night or mid day pick me ups.
Room service was exceptional. Quick delivery and the food was amazing. Highly recommend if staying in and ordering in. Pricey but what can you expect?
The gym is another highlight. Beautiful with a good amount of equipment to get a great workout in!
Overall, highly recommend staying here especially with proximity to many things within...
