Today 09/14/24 I had a 4:30 appointment to install new tires I purchased on 08/30/24 from Costco online. I arrived at 3:15 and decided to go to the shop office to check in. I spoke to a young lady who looked up my order and instructed me to put their shop marker on the roof of my car and return with my key. She would try and get me in early if someone canceled. At 4:23 I received a call from the same girl who said there was a problem with my order. She said that my credit card was not charged for the tires. I explained I had an email receipt and an email stating that the tires were delivered. But if my Costco credit card was not charged then charge it for the 1700 dollars and get the tires done. She was ok with that and hung up. Very helpful young lady. Five minutes later my phone rings again this time āDannyā , apparently a tire āmanagerā , tells me I have to come back in. That the work would not be done till I pay for the tires. So I make another trip to Costco to find āDannyā on the phone with the warehouse. I ask, Whatās the issue? He says āI donāt know but we will get to the bottom of thisā . He puts me on the phone with the warehouse supervisor and they ask me to agree to cancel the order and put it thru as a new order. OK, Iām in, I just want my new tires and be on my way. They ring me up for the tires and say they are going to start the work. Two hours lateāDanā comes into the waiting room with my key and a lug nut. He says that one of the drivers front tire lug nuts was cross threaded and he would not let the tech put it back on. I told Dan that the only tire that was EVER removed from the car was the rear passenger to have it repaired. At this point I had enough The car is a 2020 with only 11000 miles on it. The Pirelli P Zero's did not work well for my needs so I decided to switch to the Michelin Pilot sport. Upon finding my car and looking at the new tires they looked like used tires. Scuffed and filthy. My wife actually asked me if they were really new tires. I used Costco tire before and never had a problem. It was a convenience and I have been a member for over 20...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI purchased 4 new michelin tires in 2011. In 2014 (only 3 years later!) I noticed dry cracking on all tires especially near the rims at only 14535 miles on tires. Went back to Costco demanding tires to be replaced free as they were obviously defective. They refused to replace free but stated they would credit me 75 % on the cost of new michelin tures. I left there without any changes. I returned to Costco again in 2015. By now the tires were really badly dried cracked at only 21000 miles of use. I asked for free new tires again. They offered only a 60 % credit on new tires. I refused offer again. I asked them to rotate and balance the tires as per the contract of 2011. I was told that the tires are are so dried and cracked that they are NO LONGER SAFE to drive and they refused to do any contractual service on these tires. I left without any sadisfaction again. The tire center managers are rotated with the warehouse cashiers etc. They are slow workers and some are rude. Keep an eagle eye on them as they work on your car. Do not leave to go shopping! Today may 22, 2016 I will try once more to get my money back for the garbage tires they sold me. The first reaction was:" I don't think I have an appointment at 630", I said:" I can show you my confirmation email", then he directed me to the office but still he didn't take it seriously. At the office, they found my appointment on the PC, I was told it would take from an hour to one hour and a half. I went to the warehouse, after waiting for a while, I decided to go out and check if my car was still in the shop, surprisingly it wasn't in there, I check where I left it, not there either, so I went to the office. I ask an employee about my car, and yes it was done, but why didn't they call me although they requested my number? I got the keys, walked to my car, tires were brand new, I was kinda relieved. I opened the door, the driver seat had a large stain, somebody spilled coffee and tried to clean it but since the color is beige, they couldn't get a perfect result.
