I never leave reviews anywhere unless it’s extremely called for and in this case, it is. I’d like to give an incredible shout to a manager here, FRED! My little sister very tragically passed away a few days before her 18th birthday exactly one year ago, this 4th of July. Today we held a small family gathering for her where we were going to release white balloons with messages written for her and we went to and called countless places to get some white balloons filled with helium (all out of helium) and we even got denied at the party city right next door as the workers stood there talking with almost an hour before they were supposed to close. He didn’t even know about why we needed these balloons so bad until after his service but FRED not only had no problem with helping us, he went OUT OF HIS WAY trying different tanks when the first few didn’t work, getting whatever tools he needed to find to make them work, blowing up all the balloons we needed, replacing balloons he accidentally popped while configuring the pressure of the tanks, cutting us pink ribbons, prioritizing us even when people were calling him on the phone and coworkers needed his assistance and his extremely compassionate and professional manner. I felt like my Angy made us run into him herself. Being in NY it’s hard to see the type of interaction we had with Fred because despite our trial and errors with the process he never got impatient or ever showed any sign of being agitated or annoyed at our request. ( if you from NY you know what I’m talking about 😂) I’m sorry this is so long but Fred deserves recognition and we need more people like him. Fred I hope you get to read this, I hope your coworkers and bosses and bosses bosses read this because you literally turned our day around with something so simple as helping us fill some balloons. God bless you and God bless your family, they’re lucky...

Horrible stop and shop Items are never priced right either on shelves or in registers.
They never have ample stock on a lot of things which for a store of their size is pretty horrifying
The self checkout attendants almost always have entitled attitudes.
One time I was helping my 71 year old mother with the groceries. And I had to grab bags from the next register This middle aged attendant rushes over and tells me I should have said something. I said thank you and was going to make some silly remark in humor. But when I looked up this woman was seriously looking at me as if I had to do her job for her. The store wasn't crowded at all. She had two eyes and could have come over with bags to refill the regier long before I was forced to take them from the next register. I This was the fifth bag I was starting.
Scary thing is this is actually in character with how service is at this store.
Aside from the people at customer service who handle rain checks and disabled ♿ customers. Who have an awesome track record.
The rest of this store leaves a lot...
Read moreSince the store was done over certain items have not been ordered. And when they have sales certain items aren't in stock then when the sale price ends they have the items in stock. Why doesn't the managers order ahead of time? And at the self checkout areas there isn't hand scanners to scan the 24 or 35 pack of spring water. People have to lift it out of the shopping cart and try to scan it on the small scan top areas. And the woman at the self checkout isn't always there and if you ask her to put the code in so it doesn't have to be lifted its like she is being forced to do it. And the worker with the glasses isn't nice when asked to put the spring water into the shopping cart he's complaining about his back. Hey if you have back problems you shouldn't be working as a stock up the shelves you should be a cashier. And Danielle is sometimes nice and there are times she isn't. And I don't know what it might be either by the seafood department or meat department something is most of time smelling bad and traveling throughout the store. And the managers need to oversee what's going on they...
