Five Guys — Restaurant in New York

TERRIBLE experience walking into this Five Guys. Before even walking into the store I see fog from smoke inside then I walk in and smell burnt fries. I then walked to the pickup location and waited for the employee to finish his task before asking for my order. While waiting I'm watching this guy struggle to open a paper bag and then throws it from frustration, tries again with another bag and it rips when he picks it up. Then he pushes all the pick up orders to the side with more force than necessary for no reason at all. Finally he gets it on the third try and puts the greasy bag inside a bigger bag. The customer before me was even shaking his head in disbelief. I then tell him after he hands someone else their order I am here for a pickup and he just looks at me and says nothing. I wait some more and watch this guy work aggravated walking left to right huffin and puffin trying to figure out what he was doing last. Not sure if this was from the smoke filling up the store, being aggravated or just from years of using his employee discount so I decide to ask a different employee to just give me my food. The first employee bursts out that he needs fries for my order while the trays containing fries had plenty of fries. I respond you could of easily just said so before. I then tell him to just put the fries in the bag since its that simple and he then takes a handful of fries and throws in into my bag and tells me "Take this and don't come back here". I respond Did I do something to you? Another employee comes to calm him down and he starts shouting "you're too impatient." Took more time and energy to do his job the wrong way than the right way. I asked both employees once. The actions of this employee was beyond belief. Even while walking away he was still yelling from across the store with the store full of people including children. I've gone through the process of picking up food plenty of times including at this location and I never had a problem before this. Buddy was having a bad day and took it out on me. If you see this guy turn around and walk out it not worth dealing with psychos...

I had came in tonight ( Dec 26th ) to get 2 burgers a 1 regular fry and 1 Cajun fry and 2 drinks . Everything went smoothly until i revived my order and to my surprise when i looked in the bag i see just a cup of fries , as we all know 5 guys is known for the extra scoop they give with fries … i was confused to see no extra fries in my bag … to where a worker see’s me confused and tells me the Cajun fries are in the other bag ….. with oh also no extra scoop in that one either . So then i had to walk around back to the register to order another little fry i should not have needed to spend more when the extra fries have always been a thing ...

Yes hello I went in on Friday night and expected better considering that I was told by a coworker they have good burger and fries, was met with terrible experience. I went in at around 7, my buyer was good but my fries were soggy and too salty. The person at the register was very nice to me she was very sweet and welcoming couldn’t have asked for a better cashier. The manager was yelling at someone which I’m assuming was a delivery driver of some sort. the manager looked very visibly angry and upset which made me not want to come back anymore thanks for the experience but I’ll pass next time I would rather go...
