Iâve been in stores like Raymor and Flanigan (Seamanâs, Levitz and Huffman Koos to name a few) and I have always been in the store to see an irate customer come in and complain about something related to their recent shopping or delivery experience. Yesterday was no exception, I saw a customer complaining about something and his salesman calming the husband and wife down and making the situation less tense. So to say Iâm always on my toes is an understatement, but that salesman handled that beautifully, good job!Yesterday I went in with my wife to see new mattresses since ours is currently over 10 years old. We were greeted by a nice gentleman named Gordon Friend who gave us a good lesson on mattress shopping. We felt comfortable enough to drop over $2100 on a new queen set and a foam mattress for our sofa sleeper. According to their website, dollar amounts over a certain price dictate the time level of interest free financing. With our purchase we should have been offered 12 months free financing but instead were only offered 6 months. (Iâm sure it was an oversight) When we called Gordon the next day I thought we were in for a battle but surprisingly, he told us he would have it switched over to 12 months! I have to say this was great customer service, this is important in todayâs age. So I have to compliment Gordon and staff for helping us out and taking so much time with us the night before. Two young men just delivered our new mattress and box spring and all is well. I have to give Gordon and the Raymor and Flanigan crew a great big thumbs up! Just had a new purchase with R&F and we purposely sought Gordon (our salesman) out for this purchase. Two pieces for two rooms. A 3 piece bistro set and a dresser for my daughterâs new apartment. Thanks again...
Read moreAfter 11 years of sleeping on my comfy Beautyrest Elite mattress, it started to sag down and I knew it was time for a new one.  I let my fingers do the perusing, first stop: Raymour & Flanigan!  The selection of new mattresses online was so vast that a trip to my local store (Staten Island, NY) was in short order.
Arriving around 11 am the next day, I was met by "CK" who took me on a whirlwind tour of their huge mattress selection. Â I explained that the mattress needed to be "Extra Firm" and my preferred brand was Beautyrest (Simmons). Â CK and I discussed various pricing points and other options and I settled on a gorgeous bed set. Â The box spring (which I never could stand to begin with) was replaced with a "Reverie 3EM Foldable Adjustable Base" which was not only more sturdy than a box spring, but a lot of durable and lasted 2x as long.
Later I found out the base has electronics and hydraulics to effectively turn the bed into a "Craftmatic" adjustable bed. Â Remember those commercials from the 1980s? Â Anyways with CK guiding me through my purchase, I bought a gorgeous Extra Firm mattress, the adjustable base, a stunning chrome headboard & footboard, and as always their Five-year Platinum warranty package which included a free mattress protector, WOW! Â CK worked out an AMAZING price that I was more than happy with and offered delivery and installation the very next day.
I highly recommend CK, not only for being extremely knowledgeable but for his caring demeanor, friendly and professional attitude, and sense of humor to boot. Â A complete...
Read moreI am very disappointed in my recent experience with Raymour & Flanigan. My husband and I visited the Staten Island location and selected a Canadel dining table and a couch. Since we were two weeks away from closing on our new home, we left a small deposit, with the understanding that everything was set for finalization after closing.
After closing which was on August 26th, we visited another Raymour & Flanigan location to complete the order. At no point did anyone inform us that a 20% deposit was required for the Canadel table to be ordered.
By early October, I began calling the Staten Island store multiple times for an update and was repeatedly given the runaround. Eventually, a manager assured me that our sales representative would contact us with an estimated delivery date, a call that never came. Two weeks later, I reached out again, only to find out that the order for our table had never been placed.
Itâs extremely disappointing that no one followed up, especially considering the table was part of our order. Weâve now lost over eight weeks waiting, only to be told âweâre sorry it didnât work out.â To make matters worse, we were informed that the order couldnât even be expedited despite the mistake being entirely on your end.
Iâve spent thousands of dollars with Raymour & Flanigan over the years â including nearly $20,000 this year alone â but this experience has completely eroded my trust in your company. The lack of accountability and follow-up has been unacceptable, and as a result, I will be taking my business elsewhere...
