Super short version: It's OKAY.
Longer version:
The time I went on a weekday: 4:30pm
I believe the store was allowing about 107 people in this location. The store felt crowded even after taking out a few aisles in the back. I wish they could have spread out the front right-hand side more and not just the food aisles. I noticed in myself and in other shoppers that they tended to start browsing the store from the right and weave through from the first aisle. It gets VERY CROWDED here and people take a long time looking through popular kitchen items.
At this time, there are arrow stickers to help direct traffic but a good amount of people and employees ignored it. Sometimes it was acceptable because a certain part of the store or a certain aisle is super crowded so some people had no choice but to do a 180 and go opposite of the direction of the arrow sticker.
They didn't seem to have the central air on during the time I shopped there.
Social distancing is kind of hard to practice since this store is not as large as a Target or Stop n Shop.
The store still had a lot of cute holiday themed items to choose from.
I noticed a lot more sanitizers on sale. Back to school stuff were on sale. Furniture pieces are overpriced, as usual.
I got to buy what I needed for the day.
It was upsetting to witness but I did see a non- Asian man looking at an Asian family far on the other side of the aisle he was on and saying, "Eww. They better not touch my stuff," to his wife. Wife ignored him by saying, "Stop it." Some people will continuously choose the easy route of hating and blaming others. Btw, this part of the shopping experience doesn't count towards the rating of the store since the employees and store itself do not have control over what customers are thinking or feeling.
A big part of me went to the store that day to relive the past when i would browse around and envision how I could redecorate my home. The stuff there didn't disappoint but the atmosphere was a bit stiff and the overall shopping experience was not as enjoyable as it used to be. Maybe in another year or...
Read moreIâve never experienced this situation in any store, ever. I found the same exact curtains in clearance packaging. 2x 84inch panels for $9.00 (original 19.99) and 1x84 panel for $14 (original 16.99). I brought it to the front and the associate brought the manager over, Linda. Linda carried on about âthemâ tagging it incorrectly and I should get the 2 pack for $14, after it already being rung up for $9. She went behind the register and took them both out of the bags, turned around, and said you can have the single for 9.99. I said I didnât want the single for $1 more than the double option. She continued on about âtheyâ labeled it wrong. I said so âyouâre going to charge me $5 more on something for bringing this to your attentionâ. She said âyesâ. I said âIâd never experienced that before in a store, youâre supposed to honor the lowest priceâ. She said âIt doesnât always happen that wayâ, proceeded to throw the package on the counter and said âhere take itâ.
Wait, what?! From a manager?! Never have I experienced this level of immaturity and unprofessionalism. Save your time and shop elsewhere! Upper management, please get Linda some courses on managerial duties and...
Read moreMy go to for affordable candles and impressive gift wrap solutions but the real reason this is a 5 star location (to me).. If you have a furbaby, this location is the one for you! The pet section blows the one on Hylan out of the water. It is my first go-to spot for quite a few quality items at heavily discounted prices! These include bath wipes and shampoos as well as snacks all made with ingredients I love, costing me literally half price! They have a whole aisle of super stylish pet beds, food storage canisters, and toy bins. I CAN NOT FORGET THE TOYS! Fun ,dynamic, durable, and unique is how u would describe the selection. Oftentimes, they have "brain games" available too!. One of my favorite things..and these do tend to go a little fast, so I advise going often to check for these, are the outdoor clothing for dogs available. My purchases include very stylish winter coats and sweaters and an adorable pink raincoat so far. Essentially, you can find everything but the food! (With Target next door though it's so easy to park once and stock up for...
