CPR Cell Phone Repair — Local services in New York

WARNING: NO WARRANTY & They don't take responsibility if they botch a repair. I came on July 11 to repair my screen and was given an inaccurate price. I was called later with the adjusted higher price, but the lady was reasonable and gave me a price in between the real price and the price I was told. I picked up the fixed iPad a few days later. On July 21 I finally got to use it for an extended amount of time. I was literally mid watching a video when part of the screen went black. I took it in and the man who spoke to me told me I had physically damaged the device. I told him I definitely did not. He insisted someone sat on it when I wasn't looking. I told him that didn't make sense as I was using it when it broke. After some arguing he agreed to call me back with an update and I left the iPad. I called a few days later and was told they would repair it but to wait a few days as they had to order a new screen. For weeks I called every few days and nobody would answer the phone. Today I physically went in expecting that it had been fixed long ago. Not only was it not fixed, nobody ordered the screen and they tried to tell me it would cost 85 dollars more to fix it. I argued because I barely got to use the iPad after the initial repair. I have fixed screens in the past and installation errors causing pressure or defective screens can easily cause the issue I experienced but they insisted I physically damaged the device even though there were zero signs of physical damage. It was an old iPad and the combined cost of the initial repair and the 85$ would literally cost more than buying it new. I also do not trust them enough to pay for them to repair something when I have already seen the repairs are not high quality and there is apparently no protection for the customer if the repair is botched. When I again told them I had barely gotten to use the "repaired" device before the screen failed they then used the inaccurate price adjustment against me and said I had already gotten too much of a discount. Paying 150 for a botched repair is not a discount to me. Please keep your money safe by not trusting...

If you're lucky enough to walk into this shop, ask for Aliyah and Louis, trust me.

Now Louis, this man is a legend. When my fingerprint sensor stopped working after the screen replacement and the part wasn’t going to arrive in time for my flight in 3 days, he literally took the part out of his own S20 FE to save my trip. Who does that? Seriously, this is the kind of technician who treats your phone like it’s his own. Knowledgeable, skilled, generous…...

I would give 10 stars to the CPR team on Jamaica ave! I first went to the location on 07/09, due to an error on T-Mobiles end, the person at the store was not able to see my claim. The manager came out from the back and instructed me on how to correctly process the claim and gave Assurants direct number (something T-Mobile failed to do). I did not get the managers name but he was extremely helpful! Because I forgot my iCloud password, I was forced to come back to the store the next day on 07/10. There I met Aliyah (sorry if i misspelled it!) who assisted me promptly. While my phone was being fixed I needed to check a few emails for work, she was kind enough to connect my work laptop to the stores WiFi. In exactly 45mins my phone was done and ready to go. Aliyah suggested I purchase a screen protector for my phone, she put it on for me in less than 10 mins! Such a sweet girl! Will definitely be coming back for all my phone repair needs....
