Tex’s Chicken & Burgers — Restaurant in New York

Don’t go this place at 1:11am in the morning on a Sunday like I did. I normally go to this place during more reasonable hours (before midnight) and the food is always tasty. Service is always quick. The meat has always been fresh, juicy, and the biscuit super flavorful and soft. I’m taking away two stars because I went today at 1:11am and the guy that was working there Kodus gave me a biscuit that was hard as hell. I told him I wanted a softer one. He replaced it but it was still not as soft and fresh as what I’ve become used to at this location. I ordered a two piece combo meal to stay, and he gave me two very thin, hard, and crunchy drumsticks that barely had any meat on it. I was too tired to argue with him for different drumstick pieces and I shouldn’t even have to. I knew why he gave me two, because he knew that he was compensating for the lack of freshness and meat of each individual piece. The store should throw these pieces away, not give them to customers to get rid of them. The thigh they gave me was also half the size of what they normally give you and while the inside was still somewhat juicy, it was nowhere near as flavorful, soft, large, and full of freshness as their thighs you get on a regular basis. I’m really disappointed with my visit today. I should be able to go in there at any point that they’re open, and be able to get the same freshness and quality that I’m used to....

I used to luv this place. This is close to my home and stays open till 2am. Thats why I use to run here for late night food. But last 4 experiences where very disappointing. The new night crew is horrendous! The MIC or the guy in charge is super rude. No greetings. The store stops making food around 11:30pm even though according to corporate they were supposed to close doors at 2am! I went in one night around 12:30am with my family. I had to beg them to let us sit! I was so embarrassed. Another night I went with my brother around 12:50ish. This guys didn’t greet us was rude and said there was nothing else but chicken. I sympathies with food service workers as I myself have been in this felid. But there are better ways to deny service to a customer. I will be emailing directly to corporate. And I will have the franchise owners attention. Because such a great neighborhood chicken spot that reminds us of home. Should have a better customer service. I have been going to this store fr past 5 years. But the night crew was changed with in last 6months or so. And the new crew is ridiculous! Bring back the old folks. I don’t want free food. What a worst experience at this location for my wife and kids. Over a simple request of opening the boxes as she wanted to eat at the location, the guys (Bangladeshi descent) started disrespecting her and used F.. bombs on her. When she confronted thay threatened her that they'll call the cops on her even though it should've been otherwise as my wife is one who was getting this biased act. Those idiots thought that they can get away by disrespecting a Muslim women not accompanied by a husband. We've been regular customers at this location over the years and the owner recognizes us well enough that when he came out after my wife asked for him tried to calm my wife down instead of correcting his absolutely disgusting individuals.
