Went to Dicks today and a group of kids probably in intermediate school or lower were alone. One boy approached me and asked me for money claiming the football in his hand cost $10.00 and he needed 2 more to purchase it.I told him I have no cash and kept walking he followed me and kept bothering me and insisting that I provide him with money.I told him no multiple times but he persisted.I told him to stop bothering me but he kept up. I went to manager and she promptly told then to leave, they protested claiming they didn't do anything. As I was awaiting check out the group had already came back to the store the boy was holding the ball and saying to his friends there's the guy I over heard him say.I cannot believe they allow groups of children to wander the store without checking up on them. The kids seemed very comfortable in this store and I noticed that their is either no security and t h e staff seemed oblivious to the children's hustle. When I left the store the boys had gathered and were eyeing me in an attempt to provoke me. However I'm certainly not one to mess with and noticed as they walked away that they went to Starbucks leading me to believe they harass people panhandling they could buy expensive adult treats. What kind of establishment does not check on this and it is probably a routine for their hustle. The store could have bigger issues and I think people should understand that this is just a harassment that the store obviously doesn't care that junior hustlers may lead way to other more dangerous criminal behaviors.I will never...
ย ย ย Read moreJust as we face a growing problem with bullying I had the worst experience as a shopper at the store located at 2505 Richmond ave as I shopped around with my son who just turned 9 years old and for the 2nd time in 2 weeks this young associate followed us and made me feel very uncomfortable as we looked around the store. Tonight that associate approached my son, when he thought I wasn't watching, to tell him to make sure he puts back everything he touches where it belongs, I approached the associate and politely told him to please speak to me with anything he needs to tell my son; he replied to stop being so "touchy and sensitive". I could have and should have kicked his a _ _ but chose to be the bigger person and addressed it with the store manager. Definitely a first and a last at a store in an era that the internet is just taking so many stores out of business and you would expect to have at least a decent customer service experience as a shopper and not the harassment my son and I went through. That associate belongs in a stockroom where he is not near customers at all, or fired since I am sure it is not the first complaint they receive about...
ย ย ย Read moreVisited yesterday 7/27. Found what I needed but had to keep looking for help instead of available support in each section. Things were mislabeled, incorrect sale tag on the Monarch Pickleball setup or just misleading. Overall disappointing that things were not better labeled. Also didnโt get help after signing up for the app to receive the $20 off $100 purchase - instructions were clear but on the app it wasnโt as straight forward as instructed. The managers Robbie & Jordan were in my opinion - not helpful or remotely educated on what to do. They literally kept repeating the same instructions as the email said but couldnโt figure out the app either, had no workaround and really felt like they could care less. It was just a whole waste of time and while ego made me just move forward with the transaction because it wasnโt about being able to afford it - but my effort and...
