I booked an appointment online, uploaded my insurance information and ID, confirmed the appointment, and received confirmation via email. When I arrived at the clinic, the front desk staff informed me that they do not take my insurance. There was no apology for wasting my time and no one ever called me to apologize, meanwhile the website still indicates that they do accept my insurance. The person whom I spoke with at the clinic indicated that she attempted to call me once, but did not get through, and provided the option for me to self-pay. Is it youth that prevented her from understanding the problem with this whole scenario? Why would I plan to self-pay when I have insurance that, per DD's website, is accepted? Why would I plan to self-pay when the online booking process accepted my information and confirmed the appointment? Why would I plan to self-pay when I already pay for my insurance? Why would DD not reach out to me again and leave a message or send an email, providing me with the opportunity to make an informed decision about the upcoming appointment? The staff person distanced herself from the entire situation and took no responsibility for how she handled the matter.    Read moreToday was my first day coming into the office, and from the first second it was an amazing experience. I came 45 minutes late to my appointment due to parking issues and then getting lost and then coming to the wrong building, however despite all of that, the staff greeted me with incredible warmth and positivity and allowed me to keep my appointment. Seeing the doctor was incredible, he was such an optimistic and positive man- I have never met a doctor like that before that was just so incredibly willing to help. This man became a doctor for the right reasons, and I just really appreciated the entire experience. No one likes going to the doctor, however this office made me leave happy and with a smile on my face, excited about the possibility of feeling better. I am very very happy with my experience. Thank you to everyone who made me feel so welcome and heard!!! YOU GUYS...
Read more5 stars for Dr. Alvarez, 1 star for the unresponsive administration:
Dr. Alvarez is great, but the administration has been frustrating. I received an attempted $138.77 charge on my credit card via email, with no invoice explaining the charge. I immediately asked for the invoice, noting that my insurance had already paid through my HRA. They claimed an invoice was sent, but I never received it and asked them to resend itâno response. My insurance confirmed payment and tried contacting the office, but their calls went unanswered. Weeks later, I followed up again and was told my balance was now $0, yet they still never provided the invoice. Despite multiple follow-ups and calls, I've heard nothing back. It feels like they tried to charge me without justification and then dodged accountability. Very sketchy...
