I started attending virtual singing lessons with Katie Hutch a little over a month ago, and she is by far the best singing teacher I have ever had. Unlike my previous instructors--who all insisted on sticking to musical theater or classical singing, etc.--Katie structures her lessons around what you want to learn.

I started taking these lessons to learn how to sing blues, R&B, and rock. After only two lessons with her, I already had noticeable progress. She is flexible with what methods work for me and creatively customizes her lessons. She's patient, kind, and has a great sense of humor. She is a warm person who makes me feel comfortable singing in front of her (no matter how much I'm struggling) and comes across as quite passionate about what she does so, naturally, I always look forward to my time with her.

I was originally hesitant about virtual singing lessons. I live on the West Coast so I'm also in a different time zone and all of my previous singing lessons have been in-person with local coaches. However, the online platform that the studio utilizes is user-friendly and makes it easy to keep things organized. The quality of the lessons has not been negatively affected by the virtual component in any way, and I am absolutely getting my money's worth out of each lesson--which are also very affordable compared to the other singing lessons I have taken in the past.

Another helpful thing Katie (and likely the other instructors) does is keep an updated Google Doc that lists what we have worked on during our lessons as well as what I can work on before our next lesson.

The studio/business, as a whole, has also been a pleasure to work with. Dustin is professional and communicative and has made an effort to work with my schedule and individual circumstances. I am glad I gave this business a chance, and I highly recommend trying them out if you're looking for...

We were looking to get our five-year-old drum lessons because he’s very motivated and interested in learning how to play the drums. We came across Dustin Kaufman Music and Stanley gave us a call back straight away. Stanley, Dustin’s father, was absolutely lovely to speak with. We had a true connection right away on the phone. I was excited to find out that Dustin Kaufman Music works with kids as young as mine and we were able to get to know a little bit about the program before my son had his first lesson.

We did have some technical difficulties trying to get on our first lesson; however, Dustin made himself available and spoke with us personally to assist with our technical issues and helped us get on the lesson, even though the issues made us very late. We even ended up having to take a different avenue to actually get the lesson to work and we were still able to get our full lesson time in. Dustin was determined to get us to our first lesson no matter what it took!

My son’s instructor, Sinclaire, was absolutely fantastic to work with. She kept my five-year-old engaged the entire time and he was able to effectively complete the tasks that were asked of him. Sinclaire even came up with some creative ways of teaching my five-year-old how to read music.

We are super impressed with Dustin Kaufman Music. My 17yr old son woke up and decided he wants vocal lessons a few weeks ago. With our busy schedule I felt like virtual lessons would be the only option for us. I was definitely hesitate because I felt like he wouldn't get the most out of a lesson virtually. I was wrong. From the very start the sweetest man gave me a call and told me details about how the company was started, and he explained how everything works. Turns out that was Dustin's dad. He was such a joy to speak with. My son is having a wonderful experience working with his vocal coach Daniella she's AMAZING. She is very thorough, patient, kind and knowledgeable. I spoke with Dustin to set up future lessons and to reschedule a lesson. It was a pleasure speaking with him as well. Each conversation felt like I was speaking with family.
