Jajaja Mexicana embodies the essence of making vegan food both enjoyable and accessible to all, particularly resonating with me due to its Mexican-based menu, which not only reflects my Hispanic background but also transforms familiar dishes into healthy and enjoyable options.
With its combination of ample portions at decent prices and a stunning interior that boasts modern Mexican flair, Jajaja is welcoming and must-visit destination.
For starters, the Sikil pak y plantano dip shines with its refreshing nutty flavor and subtle kick of heat at the end, complementing the plaintain chips nicely.
The Beet and pumpkin empanada presents a crispy crust filled with a delightful combination of beet and pumpkin, served with both chimichurri and guacamole. Both sauces offer a burst of freshness, with the chimichurri boasting a traditional flavor and the guacamole providing a cool contrast.
The Chips and queso are a must-try, with vegan cheese that rivals the real thing in taste and consistency.
For drinks, the Popcorn y pasion offers a unique experience with its subtle popcorn aroma and perfectly balanced bittersweet flavor.
For tacos, the Cauliflower tacos impress with their perfect crunch and buffalo flavor, while the Chipotle sweet potato taco delights with its chipotle kick and well-cooked sweet potato filling.
As a side, I ordered the Esquites which melt in your mouth, with crunchy charred corn and delightful nutty notes.
Overall, I highly recommended jajaja for its delicious vegan offerings and inviting atmosphere. We’ll definitely be...
Read moreI have a genuine fondness for JaJaJa a Mexican vegan restaurant not far from the water in Greenpoint Brooklyn. During my recent visit, I was delighted to find that the exceptional quality of food I've come to expect was as consistent as ever. The highlights of my meal were undoubtedly the nachos and quesadilla, both bursting with authentic flavors and a satisfying, meatless twist that I truly appreciated.
Adding to the charm of the place was the breathtaking view of the city, which provided a splendid backdrop to our dining experience. The service was equally praiseworthy, with attentive staff making our visit all the more enjoyable.
While most of the dishes lived up to my high expectations, I did have a couple of minor disappointments. The margarita, could have been presented better and didn't quite hit the mark for me, and I found the chorizo burrito to be a tad too rice-heavy for my taste. Nevertheless, these were minor hiccups in an otherwise exquisite meal.
Overall, this Mexican vegan restaurant remains a favorite of mine in Brooklyn, offering a delectable menu with some slight room for improvement in a few dishes. It's a place I'll continue to frequent, thanks to its great quality, lovely ambiance, and...

Restaurants in New York need to understand that a pretty interior design doesn't make you a restaurant. I went last weekend for a friends birthday to the Williamsburg's location. We had a prepared menu for a table of 10 people. The food was incredible bad, not well prepared, not even the simple things such as beans and rice were close to be good.
However we received a good service from the waitress, but the don't have the fault to be working at a restaurant that doesn't take care of the actual food they are serving.
We had to pay $125 dls per person for THE WORST FOOD I HAD IN NEW YORK. I have no problem paying for good food in a good environment and service, but this restaurant is not good either for VEGAN or NOT VEGAN person.
I highly recommend this restaurant to keep up to their prices with the quality of their food. It is a yoke to pay this for a crazy industry that does not care about having a good quality restaurant, but only trendy "food" and trendy interior design.
PLEASE DO BETTER AND BE FAIR WITH THE FOOD YOU ARE SERVING. THE FOOD I HAD WAS NOT...
