I came here on a date for brunch, and while the date itself left more to be desired, this cafe was absolutely fantastic. Within this eatablishment is a hustling and bustling cafe, yet it never felt frantic and uncontrolled inside. The staff were busy yet never overwhelmed and their service was excellent. We were seated quickly and presented the menu right as we sat down. Our waiter was great at explaining the unique offerings. We both opted to get eggs Benedict, where I got the Moroccan and she got the Norwegian. She also had a plain coffee while I tried their Elderflower Rosemary Spritz. She said her coffee was good. My Spritz was pretty good, although I didn't taste much of the Elderflower in it. The food itself was fantastic. We didn't get to try each other's food but both of us kept commenting on the speed of preparation, presentation, and the flavors. The spicy tomato sauce they gave us on the side was indeed spicy, but full of flavor. I put it all over my food. The eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly, and the accompanying side salad was a nice finish to the entree. I wish the portions were bigger, but they were definitely suffice to say the least
We opted to share a cheesecake afterwards. I don't remember what kind it was. It had a topping reminiscent to a gravy made of apples and cinnamon, and it came with some slices on the side. The cheesecake was fantastic and it was pretty hard for me to not destroy it in seconds in front of my date, as we were sharing it. Overall, Cafe Mogador was an excellent place for brunch. I would definitely recommend it if you wanted to go on a date, or even to catch up with a friend. The location isn't too crazy in terms of parking too, as I found it right around the corner. We did visit on a Sunday, so that could have been a factor. It's also worth noting that there's a park nearby where you could walk afterwards, and the view is really nice. It would make a perfect end to a brunch here. High recommended by yours truly. The only reason I didn't opt for 5 stars was the lack of flavor in the Spritz. I also think the pricing is a little high in relation to the portions of the food. Don't let any of that deter you from visiting however, as this restaurant was still amazing. Shame that my date wasn't as good as this cozy restaurant, but had I not gone, I may have never found...

Whether you’re coming for brunch, lunch, or dinner, this place never disappoints.
Let’s start with the food—absolutely divine! The Moroccan-inspired dishes are a perfect balance of bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and expertly crafted seasonings. Their Moroccan eggs are a brunch staple—perfectly poached eggs swimming in a rich, spiced tomato sauce, served with warm pita and crispy home fries. The lamb tagine is melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a fragrant blend of spices that transport you straight to Marrakech. And if you’re a fan of hummus, their mezze platter is a must—smooth, creamy, and packed with flavor, accompanied by warm, pillowy pita bread.
The service is impeccable. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They make excellent recommendations and ensure you have everything you need without feeling rushed. Even when the restaurant is packed (which it often is, for good reason), they manage to maintain a high level of hospitality.
The ambiance is another highlight. Whether you’re sitting inside, enjoying the cozy, bohemian decor, or out on the charming patio, the vibe is always perfect. It’s an ideal spot for a casual brunch with friends, a romantic dinner date, or even a solo meal with a good book.

Read moreDelicious Moroccan lunch at a cute restaurant. When we arrived it was very busy. (Side story, some rude customers pushed past us while others were waiting before us and they insisted that they had arrived first. Terrible people). There was a hostess who was doing her best and obviously really busy. They take your name down and then you wait in the back green room area. The area has seating and seemed warm so not too bad an area to wait rather than in the cold outside.
Food was great. Ordered:
Falafel: Well seasoned, crispy outside, and served piping hot! Hummus: Smooth, rich, and very satisfying. Babaganoush: Great texture and also prepared and seasoned well. Eggplant: Surprisingly, better than I expected but I wish there was a little bit more portion wise. Lamb Tagine: Amazing! This lamb was fall off the bone, sauce was impeccable with notes of sweetness from the apricot and prunes, and the rice was actually super flavorful!! My favorite bite of the day. Pita: Thick, fluffy, and served hot.
My only criticisms are: The restaurant is very busy so it can be a bit loud so not great for having conversations. The staff are also crazy busy but definitely acceptably attentive. The pita bread portions felt stingy. We were a table of four and ordered four mezze plates to start and received two pieces of pita total (which were not large pita at that maybe 5 inch rounds). We had to ask for a second round and then a third round which only came with one piece. Were they trying to cut us off? Weird but we did order two more rounds of mezze in addition so I don't know why the pita servings seemed a bit skimpy. Most restaurants provide a basket of pita and for a table of four it would be reasonable too provide enough for one piece per person. Not sure if it was because they were busy but it definitely felt stingy considering we ordered 6 mezze plates and only received 5 pieces of smaller sized pita. Anyway, enough ranting about the pita...the food really was great quality.
We enjoyed our meal very much and would recommend this to anyone looking for a good...
