They turned this old sugar factory into an impressive outdoor retreat. They even incorporated machinary left from the old factory. Creative and modern. The bathrooms are inside trailers with a hotel like feel instead of the cold grey n steel concrete im used to in public parks. There are interesting structures , seating and walking areas vollyball nets and equipment for you to use inside a storage shed a park employee will retrieve for you upon request. They have multi colored LED fountain shooting water up from the concrete that little bathing suit clad toddlers frolic over in the summer. On weekends, It can get pretty crowded and there will be no picnic tables available but it's all good. The view to Manhattan from here is amazing. Domino park is right next door which is another great place to check out if you are in the area. Grand Ferry park is a nice place to stop by to check the view of Manhattan and east river.
