I’m very sorry to share that despite having a well maintained facility with a friendly atmosphere, I cannot recommend signing a membership contract with Elite Fitness. It is an iron clad contract that makes it unreasonably difficult to cancel - even outside of the original annual timeline. They will ‘auto renew’ your contract without your permission and continue to charge you without remorse or understanding why that might be considered unreasonable and strange.

I have not lived in the neighborhood since August of 2021, and it was only this week that I was finally able to cancel my membership - despite multiple requests to do so. This entire issue has cost me over $1,000 in unused gym fees - most notably $300 of that coming from months post the ‘auto renewal’ period that I was never consulted about nor approved.

I’m sorry. It’s a well maintained space. But I cannot recommend it unless you are a fan of local businesses trapping customers into unreasonable payments with unreasonable contracts. The front desk attendant wanted to keep my drivers license for the duration of the class while I was in the class, which I found inappropriate. After questioning his subsequent request to take a picture of me, he grew angry and refused to let me take the class but also refused to cancel it on his end so that I could get my points back (I booked this on classpass). He refused to speak to classpass or do anything on his end, and said “that’s your problem.”

I love this wonderful neighborhood gym! It's a smaller gym but has everything you need and is clean and well maintained. Despite the size you never have to wait for machines and it's never crowded. There is a range of group fitness classes (spin class, HIIT) with excellent instructors. Saying hi to the owner, Carlton, on my way in always brightens my day because he makes a point to get to know each of the members and it really makes you feel at home. He really cares about ensuring all members have a great experience. Such a difference compared to the other big corporate gyms I've been to....
