My family and I have been using this dry cleaner for many years. Recently, we brought in a new wool coat that was only worn once for cleaning. When I got it back, it looked like it was worn for years. The coat had so much pilling, the material on the hood was clumped up, and the sleeves of the wool coat had feathers stuck to them (from other people's coats) I spoke to to Ursula (possible owner of the dry cleaner) and she informed me that they did nothing wrong. She mentioned that they washed it in a load about 40-50 pounds WITH other people's dry cleaning as well. I spoke to the manufacture and was told that the dry cleaner should not have mixed it with other types of materials (ie down coats). This dry cleaner refused to take responsibility and wants to further waste my time by asking me to bring back the coat for them to steam so they can "fluff" it. Once the material is overheated and is pilling, there is no way to "fluff" it. What a disappointment and horrible way to handle business....
Read moreI found Esther's back in 2015 when I first moved to Queens and it has been my go to ever since. Even though I moved to NJ and now to Manhattan, I go 1.5 hours out of my way to get all my tailoring and 95% of my cleaning done at Esther's. It is completely worth it!! I bring my clothes in batches since it is so far away.
Service is incredible, super friendly and always quick and painless.
Dry-cleaning: shirts come out clean of course and most importantly don't have the limp feeling that other cleaners sometimes cause.
Tailoring: you will never alter your clothes anywhere else after this. The best part is that you don't have to put on each shirt or pant individually to get sized and pinned. As long as they are the same style/company, you can pin one of them and they will take care of the rest!!
Fantastic place, would highly recommend to anyone in the...
Read moreZero stars. The worst experience ever. I brought 3 white shirts to wash and when I came to pick them up they were worst than when I brought them. All filled with yellow stains. I told the person in the front about this and she said you should’ve told us to dry clean them, not wash. So then I told them to dry clean the shirts. Came today to pick up the shirts and they are even worse. More yellow stains. Definitely something wrong with the machine they use. Looks like the machine is rusted and the yellow rust goes on the shirt and makes a stain. At this point I don’t feel like arguing with them. I just left and now I go to the dry cleaners down the...
