Hook & Catch Cajun Seafood — Restaurant in New York

DO NOT COME HERE... HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. WOW! The first time we came here we got 2 fruit teas, they were good but the chubby guy at the cashier was kind of rude but we thought he was probably having a bad day. The second time the chubby guy was rude AGAIN (I don't understand why) while taking the order for our 2 fruit teas but we didn't care because the fruit teas are good right? Then we noticed that he messed up both of our drinks by adding something we didn't want (After repeating the order to him) but we didn't say anything and left. The Third Time the chubby guy was EVEN MORE RUDE (AGAINNNN) we ordered food this time and the fried rice had no flavor, the chicken was ok but basic and this time he gave us the incorrect fruit tea; I even I asked him to repeat the order to make sure he doesn't mess up like the second time and he said "you just repeated it" I said "can you please repeat it" and he mumbled everything real fast with an attitude and like I said he got one of the drinks wrong, this time I asked to re-make it and all did was pour half of the drink and used the same container so the flavor wasn't right. I was going to ask to re-make it the right way again but didn't want to keep wasting my time. I WILL NEVER BE COMING HERE AGAIN. So...

PLEASE STOP COMING here. Unprofessional and horrible customer service. First of the all the food is terrible, no flavor, barely any seasoning, just blah. You will not be getting any authentic louisana boil or seafood flavor. Even worse, there is NO enticing smell to this place AT ALL and there never was. There is hardly anybody in here at any given moment. Thats' your fist clue. I really hope this business comes to an end very soon. On 6.16.2023 I made my 2nd and last visit. I ordered sushi rolls and a po boy sandwich. There was a choice of sauces for which I asked what were the ingredients of the sauce being used. The cashier was very nasty and was unable to tell me what the ingredients were only stating that it's pre-made and bought from somewhere else. When I made the comment, does he think he should know so when customers ask an answer can be given. He rudely replied "No". At that point I cancelled my order and asked for my money back. I received my money back with no issues. There is a reason why these particularly businesses owners set up shop in these communities and treat us like garbage. Lets stop supporting these places that treat us...

This place was great for one thing only, for the Hook & Catch Special. You get a pound of crab or other item, and a pound EACH of 2 other items, for like 53 bucks and it was nicely seasoned. Then one day these guys just randomly took it off the menu. That was literally their gem item, the best deal, now they’re just like any other seafood spot with their pricing, so you can kinda just go else where. Nothing else special about these guys anymore. What a shame. They definitely need to bring that item back cus it was their best deal, what everyone bought… Oh and for those who wanna pop in, I never ate at the restaurant, just ordered out, but passed by it before.
