Best barbershop in nyc I have been getting my hair cuts with Ivan for years now. I live far away in Brooklyn and gladly take the trip to Astoria to get right. I struggled for a long time looking for a barber that finesses your cut and shave who doesn’t make you wait a long time. The master barbers at this shop are elite in both skill and service and will have you leaving looking like a new man every time guaranteed. I have never ever gotten a bad cut here never got my hairline pushed back or messed up and never seen anyone else leave dissatisfied. The experience and craftsmanship is evident once you get in that chair it’s like you become a canvas for the artist to paint a masterpiece. The attention to detail is what get right is known for with precision being a focal point of every cut. The barbers are always on top of the latest trends and equipment and with their years of experience they have seen it all and can easily make great suggestions for new ideas and styles along with the confidence and ability to execute their vision to perfection. A haircut is one of a man’s most important features and can completely shape his image on multiple occasions I have seen the barbers here perform life changing cuts with their suggestions. It’s very wholesome to see when they give a kid their first ever nice haircut and you can tell that little boy just got put on a path of being fresh and clean for the rest of his life. Expect music playing with plenty of good vibes and laughs the barbers really care about their craft and providing not just excellent service but an enjoyable experience they keep the shop crystal clean and accommodate their clients in every way you can tell they value your business and want to build a lasting relationship. 100/100 experience every time I recommended everyone to go here...

Absolutely horrible experience.

I let my beard grow for two full months, came in for a shape-up, and the barber completely butchered it. He left both sides totally uneven, and when he tried to “fix” it, he made it even worse. I walked out looking like a joke — not clean, not sharp, just embarrassing.

To make matters worse, he sprayed alcohol directly into my eye by accident, and during the trim, he touched my lips multiple times, which was completely unhygienic and uncomfortable.

I still paid and even tipped — not because I was satisfied, but because I didn’t want to create a scene. But I literally had to go home and shave my entire face. That’s how bad it was.

I will never return to this place and don’t recommend it to anyone who values their beard, hygiene, or basic...

Where do I start, firstly after getting a terrible haircut from a family member, I needed to get my hair on point, the shape was horrible and the back line of my hair was pushed up by a FINGER.

I searched Google and found Get Right barber shop which I’m extremely grateful for. I showed up and originally there was no one here, I called the number and asked what time the shop would be open and Ivan the barber said “give me 15 minutes, I’ll be right there" It wasn’t even time to open the shop yet!!

After getting into the chair, Ivan took his time and care to fix the damage that was done to my hair. The professionalism he conveys and his ability to communicate is something you need to experience for yourself. Truly...
