Riviera Maya is the best Mexican/Peruvian restaurant in Astoria, hands down. The food is delicious, the portions are huge, the prices are fair, and the staff is amazing. They combine two great cuisines, and they do not disappoint!
I'm a regular customer, and I've tried almost everything on the menu. Everything is GREAT, but my favorites are the Entraña Akumal, the Roca Maya, and Los Tallarines. The Coconut Margaritas are also to die for. You don't have to drink a ton to feel buzzed. Two margaritas or whichever other cocktail you choose, and you'll be done. The rest of the drinks are great, too.
Shoutout to Yanet and Claudia for always being sweet and attentive. They go above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience. One of the things I like about Riviera Maya is that the kitchen has a front glass instead of a wall. This means you can see everything happening in the kitchen before you walk into the restaurant, which is cool. I also love that they play music videos on the projector and sports on the TVs. If you want to enjoy a fun night, check out their Karaoke Night.
Riviera Maya is the perfect place for a casual meal with a date, friends, family, or solo. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and the food is always delicious. If you wish to refrain from dining in, give them a go on Uber Eats. Their portions are the same even if it's a take-out order, and they pack...
Read moreWow just wow! The food was amazing. Came here with my immediate family, my fiancé and closest girlfriend and everything was just so great. I had the enchiladas de entraña. It came with a steak, enchiladas, rice and beans. Everything on my plate was so good. The portion was perfect. My parents got the salmon, my fiancé, my sister and her husband got the entraña akumal, my little sister got tacos de carne asada and my friend got tacos al pastor. My little sister barely finishes her food, but she devoured her tacos, so that's how I know they were so good. The drinks are on ANOTHER level. Very good drinks. The guava margarita was my favorite followed by the henny tamarindo. I dont like henny, but this was good! This was my first time, so I am definitely looking forward to coming back. Music was great and service was AMAZING. Very friendly staff. Great new spot in Astoria. Hope they stay the same. I wish I would have taken photos of my food and drinks, but being here for about 9 hours for its...
Read moreRiviera Maya @ Steinway street. Arrived around 9:30 pm with my Daughter & Wife. I will highlight as to why I gave them 5 stars: 1)The serving staff Angel & Yana were super professional, welcoming & hospitable. Despite the place is super busy but still the staff members takes pride in serving all the guests with due respect. 2) We were craving for some late night snacks so we ordered Cheese Quesadillas comes with complimentary fries, mix vegetables salad with Guacamole /avocado & last but not the least Tomato pasta soup. The food was cooked very conveniently & all spices made sense ❤️👍 3) Ambience definitely reflected rich Mexican & Peru culture… it’s always amazing to see diversity and of course love the way families come sit together & eat… smiles everywhere.
Really enjoyed the food & ambience. Special message to the management Riviera Maya “ Keep your values with same standards & consistency”. Definitely coming...
