Osiani Brazil Wax + Laser — Local services in New York

Unfortunately I will not be returning. At my last visit in May, I was serviced by a young lady Osiani had come in due to her being ill. The young lady did a good job and was very thorough and even made pleasant convo although her English wasn't 100 percent. When it was time to pay, she gave me a price $11 over what I should've payed in cash. I tried my best to explain this was not my usual price and asked her to contact Osiani, who upon two attempts didn't answer her phone. The young lady also showed me the text where Osiani told her to charge me the elevated price. . Because this young lady clearly was just doing as directed as well as our language barrier, I told her I would pay and deal with the issue with Osiani. I also still tipped her my usual 20 percent. When I left I immediately texted Osiani asking why was I charged the elevated amount not expecting a quick reply (or I would've asked the young lady to text!) and Osiani said the young lady must have forgotten to give me a discount. (I saw the text where she told the young lady to charge me the elevated price ) I told her no, that I explained to the girl this was not my usual pricing and also showed her email receipts of previous transactions. After a short back and forth, she apologized for the mix up due to her giving the girl wrong info. I then asked would my $11 be credited towards my next visit and I never heard back from her. A month later I got a text regarding my prebooked appointment in which I cancelled. As a client I ALWAYS prebooked, came on time, rescheduled in a timely manner if need so be and ALWAYS tipped 20 percent of my service. I'm also a hairstylist so I try to treat others in service as I would want to be treated. Not rectifying my overpayment, even if it's just $11, is a direct communication that my business is not appreciated, plain and simple. Although I liked her waxing style, I will not be returning. It's unfortunate but I'd rather give my very hard earned money to an establishment that values my patronage. UPDATE/Response to Owner Response

Osiani, this occurred at the start of summer 2017. I now review on Google and gave MY experience with you/your business. Whether it happened in 2017 or today, it is very much still my experience. That's why "I am still talking about this", as you so eloquently questioned. I never stated you did poor work and I only described the language barrier to highlight why she and I could not rectify the situation. My issue was with how you handled the situation. I saw the text you sent her giving her the price to charge me, I tried to explain and show her receipts but the language barrier prevented her from fully understanding. I payed her the overcharged amount after you didn't answer your phone after several calls made to you. I texted you after I left, you gave me "reasons" she overcharged me and then stated there was a miscommunication between you and her. When I asked were you going to credit me the $11 towards my next service, I never heard back from you. You literally stopped responding after I asked you that question. You NEVER once called/texted to offer me repayment, but I guess you will say anything to keep your name from being blemished. Should I have continued to ask you were you going to pay me back? What you did was extremely dishonest and not the way a good business conducts business, but seeing how much you lied in your response, I guess it's just who you are. Osiani Brazilian wax center is the best!!! It was my first time getting a Brazilian and other waxing service and Osiani made sure to make me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed. She was very engaging which helped distract from any pain and there was very minimal pain because of her great wax (which is homemade from organic/ clean ingredients) and she used a great technique for waxing which minimized any pain. Furthermore, she talks you through the whole process and each strip she pulls off. She really spends time taking care of you. I was very nervous coming in but instantly I felt so comfortable. There was no bleeding, no broken hairs, and everything was done very smoothly, gently, carefully. She is the best in the game and I 10/10 recommend her for any services especially if it’s your first time or you’ve had bad experiences at other waxing centers in the past. I've been getting a Brazilians for over five years now, and I can tell you without hesitation that this place is top of the line for waxing services. They use organic hard wax, which is less painful than strips. Plus you know there isn't chemicals going on your Whooha!
