I originally visited for a root touch-up and color correction. To cut to the chase, I was satisfied with both the price and the results.

I wanted hair like Blackpink’s Rosé, but the stylists in my area seemed to have a poor understanding of Asian hair. The initial estimate was completely different from what I ended up paying, and my hair came out way too brassy. When they told me I’d need to come back for another session because it couldn’t be done in one go, I lost trust and decided to go to a Korean-owned salon instead.

My stylist was Yeji. She was very calm and straightforward, explaining from the beginning what was possible and what wasn’t to achieve the Rosé look I wanted. She also gave me a clear and honest estimate, which made me feel confident in her. In the end, I couldn’t do the root touch-up because my roots were too short—she explained that at least 2 inches of growth is necessary to minimize damage. So, we focused solely on color correction.

We did about two rounds of bleaching, and for the parts that didn’t lighten enough, she used painting techniques to adjust the color. She didn’t even use toner, so the final cost ended up being lower than the original estimate, which was a pleasant surprise. The entire process took about three hours, and she even finished by styling my hair with a curling iron. I’ll definitely come back here for my root touch-up next time.

One small downside was the front desk staff. They seemed a bit cold when answering the phone or greeting customers, but I noticed they were friendly and warm with regulars. Oh, and one last tip—if you’re coming from Manhattan, taking the MTA to Bayside Station is much faster and...

I don’t recommend this business. Not sure why this place is getting many good reviews. I think walk-ins are not welcome here. When I came in as a walk-in, the female owner (I think) was sitting in the front and didn’t even greet a customer and gave me a look with an attitude. And I was okay with that. After everything was finished, I was not happy with how my hair came out and I called the business to complain. I was told to come back so that they could see what went wrong. My hairstylist, didn’t get her name, did her best to fix it and I appreciated her effort and professionalism. When I left the business, the same lady gave me that nasty look on my way out. She really needs to fix her attitude towards every customer if she wants to maintain the business. Wish I could give them zero star but left 1 star for my hairstylist’s...

My husband got his haircut here for the first time by Paul last week, and it was, literally, the best hair cut he’s ever gotten since we met. My husband commented that he could tell how experienced he was by how Paul was handling his head with his tools. It’s been challenging to find a good men’s stylist who really delivers based on your aesthetic, hair type and head and face shape.
