I have been dying to go here, Paris Baguette, usually, I can't find parking. Or, I just don't have enough time. Today, unexpectedly, was the day. Paris Baguette, love the name, the design of the restaurant/bakery. The presentation of so many pastries, flavors, designs and prices, is truly inviting. I was torn between trying a smoothie or coffee. The cashier said, if I like Starbucks, I will enjoy their coffee. If I like Dunkin Donuts, then I won't like their coffee. My friends selected both coffee and smoothie. We arrived around 12N. It was beautiful outside, not sure if this contributed to the emptiness, only a handful of people were present. Usually you will see lines. But, there were plenty of employees on hand, friendly if approached. I was able to practice a few chinese and japanese words, it was fun.Once we sat down, all we felt was extreme cold. The decor of the dining room, was so inviting and Chic. I'm told the coffee was good. But, the mango smoothie was the best. Well, I had a slice of mango coconut cake. It looked scrumptious, I couldn't wait to eat it. Disappointment came quickly, I asked my friends to taste a piece to see if they shared my sentiment, they did. The cake was dry. It had two very large, hard pieces of unripe mango. Not only was it not delicious, it wasn't even good. The two pieces of mango, were the pieces you would throw away. The other two pastries, almond claw, and cinnamon roll, were good. But, not worth sitting in a Chic dining room, freezing. Or, worth returning to...
Read moreI've been a customer of this bakery store for over 10+ years I haven't had any complaints up until now, Sept.17 2024. I visited this store to purchase 10 pastries and I was asking a worker(hispanic girl) nicely if she can put 10 pastries in a gift box and seal it with sticker or tape. At first she said she can't offer a box for the pastries and said she'll put all 10 pastries in one bag instead. I asked if she can seal the paper bag with a seal or a sticker Then she said we don't offer a seal or sticker to close the bag opening. Then I asked if she can put a piece of scotch tape to close the bag opening and she answered "I guess so" in nasty voice tone. I've purchasing a lot of pastries lately every time I visited this store for the last 4-5 months for my business connection and my customers. I did NOT have any problems with any workers each time when I was asking for a gift box or paper bag with a sticker/tape. She is the only person who refused to offer a gift box. She is the rudest person among any workers in the store for the last 10 years. I've been visiting this bakery store once a week lately and I've never seen her working in this bakery store before. I don't think my family and I can support this store anymore because of the way I was treated. It's possible she may had a bad day but that doesn't mean she can show her anger toward...
Read moreI frequent Paris Baguette in Bayside. The customer service is horrible every time. I went to pick up a cake that I ordered a week in advance. I requested a "Happy birthday" writing on it. The line is always long... always a wait. I get to the front, give them my pick up information and it took 5 minutes for the girl to get my cake. I only realized the cake didn't have the sign because I checked. I told the girl I requested it, the girl looks baffled and is fumbling to look for the receipt which by the way, she had already tossed. She asked "what do you want on the sign?" No apology, no nothing. Doesn't even hand me a paper and pen. I write it down, she doesn't direct me at all, I'm just standing there and she takes another customer. I wait another 10 minutes for them to finish it up. No apology, no nothing. I grabbed the cake myself, I grab a bag for myself and I just walked out. As convenient as the location is, this PB has the worst...
