Gotham Swim is a gem! The instructors and directors are caring and kind and take time with each student. Within a couple of lessons, I saw huge changes in my 4 year old's confidence in the water, and a few weeks after that, he was swimming, right in time for summer where he refused to wear his floaties. The swim team for more advanced students is challenging but safe, and the instructors put the students first. One day when my 8 year old was just too cold and instead of pushing him too hard to continue, they realized he needed a break. I appreciated that because in other places it was not that kind of caring approach. I am very impressed with his progress, because the director is actually helping each student individually and challenging them in a kind and productive way. The best place to learn how to swim. Miles is very flexible with parents when it comes to days, payment, whether you kid is sick, make up classes, and you don't see that often in other places at all. He genuinely cares about the fact that parents run around like crazy and are trying to make it all work for their kids as such he tries to be helpful and not add to their already full mental load. Rick genuinely cares about seeing the kids progress and will give them tough love and constructive feedback. Gotham City Swim has improved my son's swimming tremendously in just a few lessons so far. He is so comfortable and happy in the water now! We really can't believe it because he used to hate to swim. We had tried two other swim programs on the UES with very cold pools and were not seeing any progress.
