What a terrible company. I only wanted internet. I switched from Verizon for the cheaper monthly rate. 49 versus 79. When I called to inquire about their services offered. I explained I only wanted internet. I don't watch tv and have a cell phone. I don't need anything else. They push the total package on you telling you to just try the 3 services for the month and I won't pay installation. It comes to the same money internet plus installation is somewhere around 100 where the 3 play package is 118. They said tri out out for a month with no obligation then cancel after 3o days. They kept pushing it on me and were pushing the same day appointment to have them install it. So i agreed. Who wouldn't. If there's no obligation and no cost difference. After the 30 days were up I called to cancel the other 2 services. I never once watched a single channel. In fact the tech that came to my house didn't even install the box because he would have hag to run wires all over my house to get to the tv. I told him don't worry about it. I'm sending the box back after 30 days. I'm the end because I got the 3 services together and want to cancel the 2 other services. The price for just internet went up to 59 instead of 49. Why should i loose the promotional price. I never wanted the dam package. They pushed it on me. For principal i wanted my promotional price. But no they tried to tell me to keep the bundle package. It's a great price and blah blah blah. I'm telling them i switched for a reason. To save money. Not to spend more. If you can't honor the promotional price I want to cancel. And they let me cancel with no problem. They have terrible customer service. Terrible. And they service kept dropping. I'd rather continue with Verizon for better service and professionalism. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH SPECTRUM. Its not with it if they didn't care about...
Read moreCustomer Service is horrible. If I could give zero stars I would. I just had phone service. For about 3 yrs. When I first started it was 10.00 a month I said not bad all I needed it was for my daughter to call me. Then it went up to 15.00 then jumped to 40.00 The part that finally made me pull the plug is someone was able to make an appointment for service for a tech to come out(wasn't me) this young man knocked on my door hi you have an appointment today I said no sir I don't he says yes you do would you like to reschedule I said reschedule? I didn't schedule the first one so he says he will have dispatch call me. Sure enough maybe 10 mins later a young lady called and says so you told the tech you wanted to cancel appointment I said I never made an appointment to cancel she says please hold so she put me on hold and comes back to the line and states that my management office made the appointment because they redoing the lines. I said well exactly who is th customer me or the management office because I know it's me who pays you every month how could someone make an appointment for me? So she says would you like to reschedule I said there is nothing for me to reschedule. I hang up with her I call my management office they tell me they have no idea what I'm talking about they never made an appointment for me I said well that's what the CSR just told me I said yanno what let me call Spectrum back canceled the service then the CSR I got in closed accounts says I need the four digit code off of your bill or I can't close it I said I wish you guys had this same protocol about having some strange outsider make an appointment for me. Anyone can make an appointment without extra added security but when I call to cancel I need 4 digits I need name, apartment number, and so on..... Will never ever ever deal with this...
Read moreIn today's fast-paced environment, encountering just 1 or 2 bars on your mobile device, indicating poor service, is simply unacceptable. With countless mobile service providers clamoring for attention, it's imperative to recognize the dominant players in the cellular market: Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. Verizon leads the pack with the fastest speed and best coverage, followed by AT&T with decent speed and coverage. T-Mobile, unfortunately, falls short in comparison.
My situation led me to ditch AT&T, where I was shelling out over $200 for 3 lines of service, in favor of Spectrum's unbeatable deal. For the first year, I would only pay $50 for three lines with taxes included. Spectrum, powered by Verizon, offers top-notch service. After the first year, the price remains fixed at $90, but there's a catch â you must have existing internet service with Spectrum to qualify for the offer.
My journey began at the Spectrum store at the Staten Island Mall (Target), where I encountered friendly and helpful staff. iPad-carrying Mike, logged me in and briefly inquired as to my visit. Shortly thereafter, Justin patiently explained the promotion, even recommending that Spectrum pay off my current cellular provider's contract if I switched. The terms were crystal clear: Stick with Spectrum for a year and receive a Visa Debit card for the payout.
After giving it some thought, I returned to the store and met with Devon, who (for the next 2 hours) very patiently explained everything and I think we sort of bonded over our mutual love of video games. Additionally, the manager called to inform me of a waived activation fee as a thank-you for choosing Spectrum. Over the next few days, service will activate and I can finally close my AT&T account and enter a whole new world of great price and...
