Updated Review: I had my second massage from Apple today and it was exactly what I needed. She was superb!! It's been a long time since Ireceived a massage, but I listened to my body and finally got one at House of Wellness! This Astoria neighborhood establishment was recommended to me by a coworker so I finally decided to try it out. I was hoping to get a massage at the last minute so I reached out and fortunately they had a slot available on the same day. When I arrived I was greeted by the friendly staff and my masseuse Jacob. Speaking of Jacob, he was extremely professional, and with 20 years experience, I could see why. The 60 minute massage was exactly what I needed and on top of that, Jacob also provided some stretching and office ergonomic tips! Finally, the office and rooms were very clean and the mood at the House of Wellness is very serene and peaceful. 🙏 Can't wait to go back again! Thank you to Jacob and the team!

Highly recommend booking a massage with Jacob at House of Wellness. The space is well appointed with a calming atmosphere. Before my treatment Jacob asked me how I felt and really listened about how I was feeling physically and emotionally. Jacob demonstrated a lot of care and skill, so I felt comfortable completely relaxing knowing that I am in good hands. During the session I felt comfortable expressing myself. As a fellow L.M.T. I learned techniques that I have integrated into my practice. After the massage I felt a strong presence of inner peace and overall wellbeing. Looking forward to my next appointment at House of Wellness.

I had an incredible Lymphatic Drainage session at House of Wellness in Astoria. From the moment I entered, I was struck by the peaceful and clean ambiance of the practice. It instantly put me at ease and allowed me to fully relax.

Fernando, my therapist, was not only highly skilled but also incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything about the Lymphatic Drainage process, ensuring I understood how it would benefit me. His expertise and attention to detail were evident throughout the session.

The magic truly happened when Fernando's hands went to work. They were nothing short of a gift. The gentle yet purposeful movements during the Lymphatic Drainage left me feeling an incredible sense of rejuvenation and overall well-being. It was as if he knew exactly what my body needed. I can confidently say that Fernando is a master of his craft.

As I left the session, I felt euphoric. The positive effects of the Lymphatic Drainage lingered, and I could feel the benefits in my body and mind. I left House of Wellness with a renewed sense of vitality and a deep appreciation for the experience.

I cannot wait to go back to House of Wellness for another session with Fernando. The level of care, expertise, and the serene environment make it the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and focus on self-care. If you're looking for an exceptional Lymphatic Drainage session, I highly recommend booking with House of Wellness. You won't be disappointed!"

New addition 11/30/23:

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a session with Danielle Marie Fusco, a newly added to the practice Reiki practitioner, and it was nothing short of incredible. From the moment the session began, I could sense Danielle's unique and magical energy. She possesses a true gift for elevating and moving energy, creating an atmosphere that is both healing and transformative.

Her approach is gentle yet powerful, and I could feel a palpable shift in my energy levels during and after the session. Danielle's intuitive understanding of energy work is evident in her practice, making the experience deeply personal and effective.

For anyone seeking a skilled Reiki practitioner, I cannot recommend Danielle enough. Her talents in energy healing are exceptional, and she brings a warmth and professionalism that makes the whole experience truly special. Thank you, Danielle, for such a remarkable and...

Awful experience from beginning to end; if they let me give 0 stars, I would. I made an appointment for a massage as I was in a lot of pain from both a herniated disc and sciatica flare up. It should have been very straightforward and clear that I needed a therapeutic massage to release the tension, soreness, and pain in my body.

When I made the appointment, I was told the session would be $130 with a $25 deposit but I figured that meant I would have a high quality experience. I definitely did not. When I first walked in, the receptionist was on the phone and did not greet me, check me in, answer any questions, or complete any other part of client welcome as a receptionist. She was dismissive and rude.

Eric, the masseuse, was the one who greeted me and checked me in, and pointed me to the bathroom. That was the only positive part of my experience with him. I explained the issues I was having, pointed out where the pain and tension was, and even named specifically what I was looking for. I was very clear.

Instead of a therapeutic massage for my muscles and nerves, I got some woowoo made up thing. I kept waiting for the therapeutic part of the massage and it never came. When I asked him to explain what he had spent the entire session doing, his response was that it was a massage that he made up, that was meant to "unblock my energy because you tend to avoid the pain and it blocks the energy". Again, I was very clear about what I was there for and what I needed.

When the receptionist asked me if I liked my experience, I was very honest and said I did not. Erik stepped out and tried to explain what he provided, to which I said I wouldn't argue with him, it was very clear that what he gave me was not what I needed or was looking for. The receptionist had the nerve to say that not every massage therapist was a good fit for everybody.

I paid $130 to leave the place in MORE pain than I was when I arrived. Their solution to charging me for a service I definitely didn't receive was to offer me a discounted session with another therapist. If a customer comes in for a specific service and you give them something completely different, the right thing to do is offer a refund, not a discount. I will not be going...

I went here for a massage a few weeks ago and it was the worst massage experience I’ve ever had in the 15+ years Ive been getting massage therapy. The office is clean and nice but the staff is completely incompetent. Within 5 minutes of my massage I noticed very loud conversation going on right outside of the door. I let it go for a bit, after all it is a business.. maybe they had something important going on. So it goes by for a few more minutes and I ask the therapist “hey is it normally this loud during massages?” He said “oh that must be another therapist speaking to a client”.. ok cery unprofessional doing it right outside my door but ok. This keeps up and it is clearly not a therapist.. by now i can hear that it is the receptionist having a full on conversation as loyd as can be. I said again, “hey it’s still pretty loud out there”. Instead of taking 15 seconds to ask the loud receptionist to keep it down this guy has the audacity to TURN UP THE VOLUME OF THE AMBIENT RAIN NOISE IN THE ROOM!!! I was flabbergasted. Ive never left a business, let alone a massage that is supposed to be the most relaxing part if my day so angry. I will never step foot in this place ever again and Ive been telling everyone I know to not go here even if they don’t ask because that’s how much I despise this business. Loud, obnoxious, and oblivious. If I could give no stars I would. Edit for the owner response: the receptionist was a woman with long blonde hair and the therapist was a man with glasses and curly brown hair. Hope this helps. And yes, I hope I do too after...
