I recently had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Museum of Nostalgia Toy Store, and I cannot express how amazing my experience was from the moment I walked in the door. This place truly lives up to its name as a museum, a treasure trove of nostalgia for anyone who has a soft spot for vintage toys. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the incredible staff, Phoebe and Jeff.
As soon as I entered the store, I could feel the sense of wonder and excitement that I used to feel as a child when visiting toy stores. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of nostalgia that instantly transported me back to my own childhood. The store was beautifully organized, with shelves lined with a vast array of vintage toys from various eras, and each one seemed to have a story to tell.
My primary mission for this visit was to find a vintage Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Megazord toy, which had been a cherished part of my childhood. I had been on the hunt for this specific toy for quite some time, scouring toy stores far and wide, but I had never been able to find one in good condition. I had asked Jeff if they had any and he directed me to Phoebe, one of the store's owner, immediately she assisted me. Her knowledge and passion for nostalgic toys were evident from the start. She not only helped me find the Megazord but also shared some fascinating details. It was clear that she had a genuine love for these toys and was eager to share her expertise with fellow enthusiasts like me.
What truly stood out during my visit was the exceptional customer service provided by Phoebe and Jeff. They both took the time to engage in a genuine conversation with me, discussing not only the Megazord but also other toys in their collection. It was like talking to old friends who shared the same passion for nostalgia and toys. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and I found myself not only purchasing the Megazord but also learning so much about the world of vintage toys.
The Museum of Nostalgia Toy Store is a hidden gem for anyone who holds a special place in their heart for vintage toys and the memories they bring. Phoebe and Jeff's dedication to their craft and their customers is truly remarkable. Their warm and welcoming demeanor, coupled with their extensive knowledge, made my visit an unforgettable experience.
I left the Museum of Nostalgia Toy Store with a sense of joy and fulfillment, knowing that I had found the missing piece to my childhood collection and had the pleasure of meeting two incredible individuals who share a deep passion for preserving the magic of vintage toys. If you're a nostalgic toy enthusiast like me, do not miss the opportunity to visit this fantastic store and meet Phoebe and Jeff. It's a trip down memory lane that you'll cherish for...
Read moreSuch an interesting concept for a store. Part vintage toy museum, part toy thrift store. Its jam packed with toys from the 70s and beyond. They have a mix of toys that are still in their original packaging and some that aren’t but are in good condition. It’s a fun store to peruse and reminisce about your childhood. As I was looking around, I heard lots of people saying things like “I had this toy growing up, or “I remember this” or “I forgot about this”. You can’t help but smile as you walk around; it’s like walking down memory lane.
The items that are sold and displayed here run the gamut (collectibles, action figures, board games, etc.) and there’s even a couple of video games on display. And the owners were so friendly. They seemed very knowledgeable about toys (vintage and otherwise) and enjoyed talking to people about it. They buy, sell and trade toys so their inventory keeps changing. And they provide rentals for photography, film, and TV.
Highly recommend checking them out and supporting them.

Read moreI came to visit my family in Astoria, Queens, NYC, and this store is one of the places I wanted to visit. From the airport, I went to a pizzeria place for a NY slice of Pizza and then straight to here. It did not disappoint! I felt like I was transported back in time to my childhood. Toys I always wished I could have and some that i did and somehow got misplaced throughout the years. Every cartoon I ever watched.... they had a toy from it. I absolutely LOVE this store. As I am flying through spirit I only have a personal bag. This christmas holiday, I am bringing my son and girlfriend on Southwest so we are able to bring luggage to fill with their amazing selection. Their items are also reasonably priced. Like so much cheaper than selling sites and stores similar to these in Nashville. The owners are so nice, patient, informative and really seem to love what they do. Do yourself a favor and visit this store! You'll be so...
