It’s time for another burger post. Only this time, we’re taking the burgers to another level – a healthier level (at least as healthy as a burger can get). At Bareburger, taste and variety is king. The restaurants partner with organic farmers to bring high quality meats to the table as well as outfit their restaurants with reclaimed and recycled materials. Bareburger currently has more than 10 locations throughout the metro New York area.

Atmosphere

Bareburger claims it uses recycled, reclaimed and sustainable materials in all its restaurants. It definitely shows. The interior of Bareburger is surrounded in brick. This brick, along with wood accents, gives off a very rustic and almost organic (it’s fitting, isn’t it?) feel. In keeping with the Bareburger name, there is plenty of bear paraphernalia throughout.

Food

The menu at Bareburger is all over the place, in a good way. The menu is designed to be customized, down to the smallest detail. Unique burger creations (California, Maui Wowie, Mediterranean, etc.) can be made with nearly every meat out there. You can go the route of more traditional meat such as beef and turkey or go more adventurous and give wild boar, elk, ostrich or bison a try. Next step is the bun, and you get to customize again here with options such as a traditional brioche bun, multi-grain roll, wrap, lettuce or a tapioca rice bun. There must be hundreds of possible burger combinations alone.

We ordered:

Roadhouse: pepperjack, country bacon, hass avocado, fire roasted red peppers, sweet apple grilled onions, smoked paprika mayo (recommended with bison) on a brioche bun Original: colby jack, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, raw red onions, special sauce (recommended with beef) on lettuce Fries and rings combo

The fry and ring combo is a staple for me every time I visit Bareburger. A big basket of fries and onion rings are served with four different types of dipping sauces. The fries are unsalted but the sodium isn’t even missed slightly thanks to these sauces which really kick these fries up a notch. The onion rings are extremely crispy and a good size.

The roadhouse burger was next up and this burger is piled high with toppings. So much so that a skewer is put through the center to make sure everything stays in place. The bison is cooked perfectly and there is an insane amount of avocado. Depsite all these toppings, the entire burger is easy to bite through. That’s not to say the burger isn’t messy. I won’t say it’s a 5 Napkin Burger, but it’s definitely close to four.

Service

Bareburger was packed the night we went but the service didn’t falter. The food came out quickly and we were able to fly through our meal. I’ve never had a bad experience with service here.

Value

The prices for burgers are in the low teens, depending on what you get. With all these toppings and the ability to customize them to your liking, Bareburger gives you a lot for your money. Good value.

The Verdict

In case you couldn’t tell, I’m a fan of Bareburger. I love all of the different types of burgers on the menu and the fact that you can select from a wide variety of meats and bread in order to create your own burger creation. The food at Bareburger is always delicious and cooked perfectly. I will be back and I recommend you check...

Bareburger recently caught my attention, and I was thoroughly impressed with my recent visit. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The friendly staff made us feel right at home, and the rustic decor and cozy ambiance created the perfect setting for a delightful dining experience.

The menu boasts a wide variety of options to cater to every palate. Whether you’re a burger enthusiast or prefer plant-based alternatives, Bareburger has something for everyone. I decided to indulge in the Sweet Bison Blues burger, and it was an absolute delight! The all-natural bison was cooked to perfection, and the harmonious blend of aged blue cheese, caramelized onion, and bacon bourbon jam infused each bite with an explosion of flavor. The juicy burger was perfectly seasoned and nestled on a fresh and fluffy bun.

For sides, the sweet potato fries and Honey Brussels sprouts were absolute standouts. Both were cooked to perfection, achieving the ideal balance of crispiness on the outside and tenderness on the inside. If you’re a sauce connoisseur, you’ll be delighted to know that Bareburger offers an array of sauces that add a unique and delectable twist to each dish.

One of the most commendable aspects of Bareburger is their unwavering commitment to inclusivity. They cater to various dietary preferences by offering vegan, gluten-free, and keto-friendly options that don’t compromise on taste. My friend, who opted for the My Sunshine (a vegan burger), couldn’t stop raving about it for hours.

The service at Bareburger was exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, provided excellent recommendations, and ensured our entire meal was attended to with utmost care. It’s evident that the staff at Bareburger genuinely cares about their food and the well-being of their customers.

In conclusion, if you’re seeking a place that offers delectable, high-quality burgers, a welcoming atmosphere, and accommodating dietary options, Bareburger is the ideal destination. I eagerly anticipate my next visit to explore more of their menu items and continue to savor the exceptional dining experience they provide. Highly recommend this culinary gem to anyone who appreciates a great burger and a memorable...

Great meal, great value, great atmosphere, great service. All the greats. Organic Burger came Juicy, with that fresh grilled taste cooked to medium as ordered. For the veggies I got the works. Everything including the alfalfa sprouts. Aged Gouda cheese complimented the burger well and infused its taste with the rest of the ingredients. The burger as a whole was pretty large. Brioche bun sandwiched everything together nicely. Gave it that sweet taste. I ate it one sliced cut at a time. With the help of that large toothpick like stick, the burger maintained its structure all the way through. For a side I went with the sweet potato fries. They were sweet but a little too rustic. If your know what I mean. Maybe over cooked and too thinly sliced. To wash it down I switched between the table water and a bubbly root beer. Delicious.

Bae went with the grass fed burger well done with pickles, pickled onions and ghost pepper jack cheese. I tasted the cheese. Has a good kick of heat just slides right in.

For her side she got onion rings with truffle sauce. Large order. Enough to take home. Bae shares and it was big onion slice, lightly fried. Golden brown really. Not greasy.

The organic ketchup was tasty. We liked the table mustard too.

Service was very friendly. Very attentive. Just not that much when we first walked in. Ido feel like we had to stand around a little longer than I was comfortable with to wait for the server. But was glad when he offered a booth, which I was surprised to hear because we thought all the booths were taking. Turns out there is two sections. The benches were soft and comfortable. The table was situated on the high end which made the distance from burger to mouth more convenient. I enjoyed the change.

They were generous with the napkins. Put a stack ok the table without having to ask.

They have table games! So much fun playing the meme game while we waited for our food.

This is by far the best in the city and wherever else bareburgers exist. There’s a vibe here. A buzz. Its Cheers meets Central Perk meets Nipsey’s (iykyk). Don’t believe me? Why? Cause it’s a bareburger? Ha. Hear me out. Let’s start with the best part. The staff. Note: I’m here for happy hour - I don’t know about the other people. My man Felipe is the best bartender in western hemisphere. He’s an artist with a tequila bottle and a shaker. Quick with a joke Piano Man style. Handsome as fox. Will charm you while he gets you drunk. Chill and fun. Random fact: He’s never been to the bronx. Ask him. Then there’s Katie. She doesn’t run the place but she RUNS the place. Queens royalty. Pageant beauty with neighborhood soul. Plus I saw her balance 4 trays at a time once. And her smiles keep the food and the place. warm. Derek is the manager. Great dude. Smiles when he means it. Otherwise it’s charming sarcasm all the way… followed by smile. :) Joseph is part time and can be found hustling. Quiet but chill. Great costar compliment to his more prominent coworkers. And last but definitely not least … whoever makes the food. The kitchen staff is elite. Which brings me to the food.. Cmon. Burgers, wings, sandwiches, salads. Ouuu child!! The layout. Perfect. The families eat on the left side. The rest of us are on the right. Regulars.. yes we exist. The happy hour is unbelievable. Select beers are a $1. Moscow mules are $5. And it goes from 12-7. CMONNN!!!! Ode to bareburger: I love you. The end. (Finger snaps)

I recently visited Bareburger in New York City and was truly impressed by the quality of their food and the overall dining experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff members who were eager to make my visit enjoyable. The menu at Bareburger offers a variety of delicious options for every palate, including unique and flavorful burgers made with all-natural ingredients like grass-fed beef, pastured poultry, and organic produce. I particularly enjoyed the juicy and flavorful burger I ordered, which was complemented perfectly by crispy bacon, raw red onion, and a special sauce that added a delightful twist to the classic burger. In addition to the mouthwatering burgers, Bareburger also offers a range of sides and salads that are just as satisfying. The Caesar salad I tried was fresh, crunchy, and generously topped with slivers of Parmesan, making it a perfect accompaniment to the main course. Overall, Bareburger exceeded my expectations with their commitment to quality ingredients, creative menu options, and excellent service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience in Astoria - NY. Thank you Stephanie and Daniela for the great service.
