My experience was very negative at this nail salon. From the moment I walked in, I didn't feel welcome. I was greeted with a short-sounding "Can I help you?" - that tone that makes you feel like you are burdening someone. I found the pedicure chair to be uncomfortable, and that same woman at the front desk was sarcastic about not being able to change the size of the chair. She continued to be short and rude until I made it known that I'd share my experience publicly. She then tried to change her tune and soften her manner of speaking with me. I was surprised to have an experience like this at a highly-rated nail salon. Needless to say, I chose not to get my nails done, so I can't speak for their technical skills. As was pointed out to me, there are plenty of other nail salons in the area, and as such, I'd consider taking your business elsewhere.
Edit: response to manager
To clarify, I called to let you know I was running late and asked if that was ok. I would have 100% understood if you had asked me to reschedule, but you didn't. I would have much preferred clear communication if my arrival time was going to be an issue. Perhaps this explains the lack of warm welcome. You also left me standing in the middle of the salon with all my belongings including a large winter coat without offering a place to put them. It felt so awkward and was unwelcoming. And while the chairs were not comfortable for my body, it wasn't really about the chair. What made me upset and feel mistreated was the sarcasm you exhibited about not being able to change the chair. You also gave me attitude while offering the pillow by saying I then wouldn't be able to feel the massage while you stared at me in that passive aggressive sort of way. You did become much nicer after I told you that Im writing a negative review. The thing is, comfort and pampering is part of the nail experience, and Im not sure why you keep insisting on separating the chair from that. Botton line, a person knows when she is being mistreated. I am happy to take my business to another salon that values me...
Read moreI’ve been here a couple of times and while they did a lovely job the first time (my gel stayed completely intact for almost a month!) the nail techs I’ve had were pretty unpleasant. My first set’s longevity is what made me come back even after receiving a cut up cuticle. My most recent experience was pretty unpleasant and I felt really unwelcome. The salon was packed so the nail techs were understandably frazzled. My nail tech didn’t feel comfortable doing the nail art I requested, so someone else came to help. While doing my nails she greeted new guests and let them know they had a 2 hour wait time. I could tell she felt rushed which makes total sense. After she finished, I found a few spots that didn’t have top coat and asked her to fix it. She begrudgingly did, but my tech was so anxious she ended up leaving thick globs of top coat on my thumb. Again, I kindly asked her if she would smooth them out (they were so large lol) and her response, lacking an ounce of humor, “Yeah sure, I guess I’ll just do everything for you. She wants me to do everything for her.” Honestly it left me gobsmacked. I’m sure it had everything to do with how packed the salon was, but it just left a really bad taste in my mouth. The hostility I felt in that moment is why I’m leaving a one star review. We go to salons to relax and feel good. Needless to say I did not. I paid my bill, tipped 20%, but I won’t be coming back. Genuinely hope I am an outlier. I really wanted to...
