The Oasis Cafe — Restaurant in New York

Sadly, I would not recommend relying on Oasis Cafe for an event. We ordered and paid for a two-tier cake for our wedding day a month in advance. Two days before our wedding we reconfirmed the cake delivery time with both the bakery location and the individual that we placed the order with. The cake arrived to our wedding reception 5 hours late, and 2 hours after they were informed of the issue and were persistently chased by our wedding coordinator. Not only was it late arriving but it arrived unfinished and completely frozen. It was iced with whipped cream instead of frosting, which was soggy, melted down the sides during delivery and had to be repiped upon arrival. When my husband and I cut the cake in front of our guests we couldn’t get a knife through it as it was frozen solid, and the kitchen at our venue had to use a butcher’s knife to slice it. We had several pre-ordered deliveries and pickups that day, and Oasis Cafe was the only business that we worked with that failed to fulfill the order. The woman we spoke with at the Astoria location during our reception to inform them that the order had not arrived was incredibly rude and difficult to work with in rectifying the issue, which caused unnecessary stress during our wedding reception.
