Dr. Choeuka was referred to me by the emergency room having gone in with extreme pain to the right hand. Dr. Choeuka saw me and recommended a nerve test. I knew I had carpal tunnel and that it had progressed but the pain was more extreme. After 2 weeks I went in for nerve testing and was told that surgery would be my best option at this point. I conceded with fear because it was my first surgery. August 13, I went in for my procedure and was treated with the utmost respect and care. Dr. Choeuka and his staff were very attentive before and after surgery and put me at ease. Nonetheless here I am almost 3 weeks and I have plenty of mobility, a little tightness and pain but healing nicely. The doctor who is Dr. Choueka assistant assessed me was really thorough and nice, but Dr. Choueka came in, rushed, made me feel terrible about asking about an average time frame for recovery... At my line of work, I have to do heavy duty lifting and they won't allow employees to return to work with any limitations. I just needed to know estimate time I need to recover, and if not I have to tell work I need surgery. He brushed it off as me not wanting to go to work. He also jet out of the room before I can ask him about another problem I had that I specifically wanted him to assess. I'm not going back even if he is the best surgeon in the world...
