A few hours after my child was born we noticed a cloudiness to her pupil. I am lucky enough to have an extensive network of philanthropic financial professionals with whom I was able to get multiple recommendations through, and through this search, all roads led to Dr. Nam.

We visited Dr. Nam when my daughter was 4 days old, and from the moment we walked into the office, we knew we had found our doctor.

My child was diagnosed with a unilateral congenital cataract, which Dr. Nam removed at 5 weeks of age. The surgery was much harder mentally on us as parents as I believe it was on my daughter. Everything went extremely smoothly, and we are now on the other side of this, in the long process of recovery. Before, during, and after the procedure, Dr. Nam took the time to explain all the options available to us, and the pros and cons of each of them. She has and continues to this day to make herself available to answer any questions or concerns we may have.

I am not sure I have ever written a review for any reason online previously, which even more so now solidifies the gratitude and appreciation we have for Dr. Nam and her practice.

I just wanted to let other parents who find themselves in this scary and unfortunate situation to know that there are amazingly talented and caring professionals out there who have the ability to help. Our experiences with Dr. Nam have been first rate, 5 star, from the moment we walked through the door. Dr. Nam's bedside manner is on par with her amazing talents, which is again the best we have witnessed. She is amazingly gentle and caring, which was something very comforting to us as new parents.

I have never written review about anything, but I must share this review in order to help others. My grandson was diagnosed strabismus about a half a year ago. We saw a doctor where we live in NJ and he was the absolute worst. He did diagnose him correctly but offered very little options and reassurance. He actually scared us. I wanted a second opinion Not knowing who to see or where to look, I started to do research and came across Ophthalmology Specialists in NY, and made an appt with Dr. Nam. She is amazing doctor. She is compassionate, considerate, brilliant, patient and kind. She never rushed us, always explained everything in detail and was always available to answer any of our concerns, no matter how many times we called or asked the same question. Subsequently, my grandsons eyes got worse and we opted to have Dr Nam perform corrective surgery. The surgery was a success. I am writing this because I want to reach people like me who were unsure and of need for guidance. Do not hesitate to reach out to Dr Nam for your care. Oh My Goodness! I can see! Dr. Nam ROCKS! I am 72 and found myself having double vision at distance. I went to two ophthalmologists and neither one could help me. I got a referral to Dr. Nam and she diagnosed me as having strabismus within 5 minutes. I knew I was with a consummate professional and after a short time testing me and trying different prisms the double vision was gone.

That's not the best part. She explained every little nuance of prism lenses; how to test first with appliqués and gauge adaptation before ordering lenses and providing guidance on ordering lenses from reputable labs.

it is so gratifying to find a doctor who really digs deep to get the right solution. I live in NJ and had to travel to NYC but it was totally worth it. The office is beautiful and the staff was excellent in every respect.
