When I first came here, my skin was a wreck. I was broken out all over my forehead and in random places on my cheeks. I suffer from dermatillomania, which is a skin picking disorder, made worse by my anxiety. Sara gave me a facial treatment that was right for me and where my skin was at the time and gave recommendations on how to continue caring for my skin. I've been going to see her every month for the past several months and my skin is transformed. I've never been comfortable leaving my home without makeup before, but now my skin is clear and even enough that I feel confident walking out the door without the slightest bit of coverup. Extractions CAN be uncomfortable, but if you hydrate well and make sure you use moisturizer, it's far more tolerable. With each session, Sara has had to spend less time on extractions and because my skin has been clearer, I have hardly been picking! I didn't enjoy my facial here, which was a few months ago. I came here for the acne facial specifically because on the website there had been no mention of extractions. However, when I arrived I mentioned my preference but the aesthetician strongly urged me to do extractions anyway and I trusted her advice.

She did over 20 extractions. It was extremely painful (compared to two different prior facialists I have had) and my eyes were tearing up the entire time. I let her know how uncomfortable I was and she told me "No pain no gain."

A couple extractions along my chin were indeed helpful. But the extractions on the delicate parts of my cheeks worsened my acne. I got 2 small new blemishes that still have not gone away. One of them is a small red circle and looks like a tiny scrape of the skin's surface, and another looks like a tiny red cut in my skin.

I had a Crystal Microdermabrasion facial today, I’ve had a number of these in the past so I feel I’m rating this based on my experiences. I will start by saying the salon is beautifully finished and the staff super friendly. Based of my facial i do believe that It felt a little rushed, the cleanser was applied and removed immediately, personally slower gliding movements are more relaxing and does help products to penetrate deeper. I noticed a lot of prodding during extractions but in areas I know full well I have no congestion so honestly don’t fake it if there’s nothing there. The actual dermabrasion seemed very soft and a little all over the place, no structure to how it was done and I feel like parts were totally bypassed, areas of which I would really liked to have felt a difference, lastly the massage while my mask was on was once again a little effortless.
