I went in for cash back. I asked the cashier she said I must spend $10. Ok I walked off I said why do I have to spend $10 dollars to get my own money. After putting back my yellow apple. I walked over to the atm. I still here her talking about it so I asked her is there a issue why she still talking about it. She like Iām talking to my co worker. I said if you was professional. I wouldnāt have heard you. So I asked her is that how you talk to customers. Sheās getting irate so I had to now. Why cause your getting out of hand with your mouth. I had to tell her this is why she is working at key food. Managers right their I ask him sir is this how you alone employees to talk to your customers?? He said nothing he was going to allow it. So I told him this is acceptable behavior ok. I know people that behave the same way. I told them Iāll be back to that location cause if that how we operation business these days. I guess it safe to come back asking like the employee was with me put innocent people at risk for nothing? Something the manager shouldāve shut down for he heard it spiraling down hill. I called and spoke to a manager wakim he tells me he warned her is that enough. Heās trying to reassure me but all Iām thinking about it how this woman disrespected me no one said a thing. She needs to be fired. I will go back and get her name but not today cause my job pays far more money to risk it over someone who doesnāt even care about there own job. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI shop here a lot and normally do not have much to complain about. Today I went in to grab something quickly for a dinner recipe that I was in the middle of making. I tried to buy a bottle of kalamata olives. The label on the shelf said that the olives were $4.49. The cash register rang up for $8.99, twice as much as what the shelf said.
I brought the price discrepancy up to the cashier. She asked me to verify, which I did even though a store employee should have been the one to do. I verified and came back, she told the manager. The manager could not have checked at all or he would have noticed that all of their labels were completely screwed up. He dismissively says "whatever it says is whatever it is."
Then to make matters worse, the register that I was at malfunctioned so I was moved to the next register to cash out. Thinking I had already left, manager came back to chide the cashier about not handling the situation correctly. The problem wasn't with the cashier, it was with the stores computers and product labels. If he had taken a few seconds to actually look at the issue, he would've realized that it wasn't me or the cashier who was wrong.
This is one of my local stores so I spend a lot of money in here. I go out of my way to support the local stores even though they are more expensive than Amazon or Whole Foods. Although they were trying to charge me double for the olives than they actually should have, the real issue is that they were so dismissive about the situation and me as their customer. This really should be a one star review, but I'm giving them an extra star because I've shopped there...
