Finally, a great pizza spot on this part of Fulton. About time!
I’ve only tried the pepperoni pie so far, but it was awesome! The big, thin pepperoni slices are something special, literally. It’s a special imported roni, and you can taste the difference. The crust hits that perfect balance: crispy and airy.
Even with them still finding their rhythm, what really stands out is how much Fast Life cares about making a quality slice. That kind of effort is something that’s been severely lacking in this area.
Pro tip: 1. Get their ranch. 2. If you’re ordering two or more whole pies, skip delivery and swing by in person. I'm sure they'd love to meet you, but also, their whole pies are massive and so are their boxes. I watched a delivery guy struggle to fit even one in a standard pizza bag. If I were the one waiting on that order, or Fast Life, I definitely wouldn’t have signed off on his solve. Don’t let a delivery mishap ruin what should be a killer pizza experience.
See you next week...
Read moreI'm not sure how to explain it but after trying it, I feel like this pizza could have been an email. The restaurant is very cute, well decorated, and well staffed. I placed my order and they heated it up quickly. They do accept cards.
I got 2 plain slices. The cost (with tap pay) was a little over $8. If I didnt add garlic and pepper flakes, this pizza would have been completely bland. It was thin (but not crunchy when folding or biting). It felt like it didnt have enough ingredients on it to give it flavor if that makes sense. It felt like a a free appetizer one would be given at a restaurant (like a bread and butter basket). For the price, I was shocked....yes even for nyc. I have paid more for a slice (usually a specialty slice) and felt it was worth it because it was a good product but this was not the case. There was honestly just...
Read moreI finally stopped by this new-ish NY style pizzeria and boy was I disappointed. First off, why the name D.O.P.? Do you even know what this means? It has nothing to do with NY style pizza. D.O.P. is to protect Italian products from Italy. LOL
Secondly, the branding is and vibes are weird. It's a chaotic weirdly colored space and a weird rocker 80s theme? Seems completely out of place for the neighborhood on the corner where Biggie grew up. If you are NY slice shop, pay homage to the neighborhood. Seems like a huge miss.
Lastly, the slices I got were completely inedible. I love a good leoparding and some light char on a slice, but my slices were completely black, burnt and bitter on the under carriage.
I regret adding fresh basile from my garden and wasting it. I want my basile back!
This place feels like someone asked AI to create a...
