Pastries are delicious. Service is mostly good, unless you try to walk in at 7:30am on a Saturday morning. I was really excited when their hours changed to open earlier on Saturday mornings because there really isn't any other place open with good coffee on my walk to the train at that time. That's where my 3 stars come in. The times they have been open by 7:30am, you're given an unwelcomed guest vibe from the girl at the register who is obviously upset that she has to be at work that early and that you're coming in to give her work to do. Other times the door is still locked past 7:30am and there's zero decency to at least acknowledge you as a costumer to say that they're running behind or just not open yet. You're just ignored like they didn't just hear you pull the door or better yet not see you through the huge glass door and windows. If I wanted crappy customer service from people who don't like what they do for a living, I'd go to Outpost near by. Not the way I want to start my mornings so I'll be the adult (since even months after the time change she still seems to not have sucked it up and accepted it) and I'll suck it up and get my coffee another way. May still come by at later times once in a while because like I said, most of the staff is good and I've had conversations with the owner and she seems nice and passionate about her business but defitnely not my go to Saturday morning...
Read moreDecent, large cookies. Not overly sweet. Fun varieties. Found the flavors to be light on some & heavy-handed on others. The peanut butter could have had more peanuty goodness, while the Spiced Thumbprint (we initially thought it was going to be a Raspberry Shortbread) was overly Spiced, while the shortbread part of the cookie was mild. Very off-balanced and inedible because it was overly-cayenned without other flavors popping through. And we're "heat" people. Really enjoyed the Sprinkle Cookie until the middle was undercooked. Yes, we eat raw dough from time-to-time but this wasn't the time for it.
The Cupcakes are small, not the minis but not the standard size. They're perfect for a quick bite. Not overly sweet but again, the flavors were mild, including the frosting toppings. Nothing really stands OUT. Because they have to keep them refrigerated, flavors can be muted but still, as they became room temperature, still fell flat. They have Ice Cream Cookies too but we were traveling and they would have melted. The box these treats come in are fun and festive. Reminded me of Sesame Street for some reason. Overall, they make a great gift for parties, hostess gift or office treats. They traveled well, too, including...
Read moreI’m a sucker for sprinkles and that’s what initially got me to walk into Good Batch! I love all the cookie options and they had a specialized Peach Cobbler flavor that they did in collaboration with another chef. Although I didn’t try that one, I purchased the Confetti cookie, chocolate chip and the oatmeal chocolate. I was a big fan of the confetti and chocolate chip. The cookies are not hard or soft. They are right in the middle for people who are serious about cookie textures. I appreciate that the cookies are not super sweet which is hard to do with a confetti cookie. I’ll definitely be back and they have a great deal of buying 5 cookies and getting 1 free. The cookies range from $3-$5/$6 dollars.
There is seating inside and it’s pretty quiet if you want to get some work done in there. They also have ice cream sandwich cookies which I have to go back to try because I...
