I was a student at KT many years ago when I was preparing for the NYC Special High School Admission Test. With their guidance, and with their test preparation skills, they helped me get into one of the schools.
But my story with KT does not end there. I made many friends there who all got into the same schools, so we already had strong friends in the school even before matriculating. To my pleasant surprise, many of them even ended up in my freshman algebra class because. The class was comprised of students who were adept at algebra and were one step ahead of their freshman peers. Luckily, KT had prepared us for the SHSAT so well, that they prepared all of us for higher concept mathematics at the same time, and allowed for all my peers at KT to become my peers at high school. So KT not only helped me academically, but they also helped me socially.
I went back to KT summer of my freshman year, before becoming a sophomore. I knew I was going to take geometry as a sophomore, so I prepared early. In the summer, KT helped me finish the entire geometry curriculum, and I never needed help in geometry again. I passed both semesters of geometry with 95+ and achieved just the same on the regents, scoring above many of my peers then. But these skills I have learned in KT don't stop there. They continue to come back even now, in college where its mostly self teaching.
I am very happy KT was there in my more impressionable years to guide me towards a proper...
Read moreKhan's has given me one of the best learning experiences in my academic life. It really provided guidance in subjects I was stuggling with. The teachers and staff in general are very understanding, kind and most importantly helpful. I was really struggling with math because I was very overwhelmed with the constant types of math I was learning and at the pace my schoolwork was going, but thanks to Khan's I was able to keep up with school. This was because, the teachers at Khan's would stop and help you with anything that you were confused about or wanted to clarify. Though some people say that the homework is way too much, to be honest, the homework is basically a rundown of what you learned that day and it really helps keeps you in check with the topic. Lastly, because of Khan's, my academic scores really peaked since before and not only am I caught up with school but I even know advanced subjects that we haven't practiced in school yet which is really helpful for future classes. The SHSAT prep classes have helped me the most. My math test grades literally went from a 91 to 101 in the course of 2 weeks. That's how effective khan's is. In conclusion what I want to say is Khan's tutorial gives one of the best learning and effective experiences for students and I would really recommend it. THANK YOU KHAN'S! Also shoutout to Josh and Sharmin, two of the best teachers I...
Read moreIts a decent tutorial for sure. But I would like to criticize some of their SHSAT tutors who in some days, starts to play games like hangman, and whatnot in the last 30 mins of class. If you're done with ur lesson, give us a packet or get ahead start in next week's lesson. Our families are paying you to teach us for 4 hours, not 2.5-3.5 hours (they also gives us lunch breaks which is good. However, 30 mins breaks are unnecessary not to mention some days it can extend up to 45 mins. Btw those breaks count as part of the 4 hours my parents paying are for. Lets sink into that) Other then that, they do have a solid SHSAT program and I guess you can tell the tutors really dedicated to their job as they would go above and beyond to help you. After all that hard work, I landed a seat at BKTECH. Which I will be attending this fall. I also came here for common core in 4th grade. Didn't like it but I never liked anything at that age soooo. But I remember getting a 3 and 4 on my standardized tests which helped me get into the honors program at my local JHS. So...
