Kingsbridge Heights Comm Center — Local services in New York

I have taken my family to a park to get away from the same routine of the daily basis,after 45 minutes getting to this park fewer yellow busses arrived to the park with a large group of kids wearing grey shirt & others wearing red shirts with the letters SYEP,,15 minutes after their arrival I have observed a group of young kids”teenagers”seating away from the regular group,my lord the words & curses coming out of this group using all kind of profanity were incredible & not just the words used by this kids but also under the supervision of an adult wearing a grey shirt of what it supposed to be one of the heads from the staff,immediately have to remove my self with my kids & grandkids away from this group because the whole purpose was to get away from the same daily issues we go through not knowing that i was exposing my kids & grandkids to the same issues we leave day by day on our community,p.s....camp I won’t recommend to any friend or family member specially if they going to be supervised the way they have during my visit...

This place is truly terrible. The workers offer zero assistance with attitudes. The summer camp kids are reckless and it’s obvious the staff members have zero control. They are great for hosting events because that seems to be all they care about. That’s the only time there’s a good time. It’s a very toxic environment. I had to remove my kid because they allow middle schoolers to smoke vapes with no consequences and one of the staff members was so rude to my child and she’s only 11. My child came home crying because the summer camp lady spoke her with so much disrespect and foul language. It’s truly a terrible toxic community center and I wish there were more community centers that actually look out for the kids and parents and not there for a check. They should just get rid of it already, it isn’t...

Agree with Noemi & Tolliver been in the area for 9yrs and approach this center about 3xs and they just like avoiding me to come in person even before the pandemic. They don’t help and give information on anything. So for Mr. Michael Carrantes to say he found this center so fabulous & he just moved to the area a month ago, makes me question a lot of things. I’m giving up on trying to get services or anything from this center anymore. I just tried again yesterday & can tell you was just a waste of time Again. But I’m sure they do need donations and Volunteers for their childcare and ect.. or a bilingual receptionist with experience in child care to do both. I mean...
