I used Spothero to book a reservation about a week in advance. My reservation was from 9 a.m. on Saturday until 9 a.m. on Sunday in July. I was driving my chevy traverse, so know this is a BIG suv. The good news, my total cost was $30.71. There were plenty of parking spots that were plenty big enough for my suv. There was no upcharge of any kind. There are doors to The Met that you will see when you pull into the garage. The line to the museum was around the block at the main entrance, and no line in garage entrance. The the sort of bad news. Spothero gives you directions on how to use your voucher/barcade. First, there is no valet. So you will save money on tips. There are guards, though, that check your trunk. For what, I don't know. I arrived at about 9:45, I opened my trunk, and she walked over, closed it, and said good to go. The barcade scanner at entrance is fickle. I found a feature that allowed me to use my phone number to pay. I thought it would use that to find my reservation because after I put in my number, the gate opened. When I left at 6 the same day, and punched in my phone number again, it said I owed 55 dollars. I talked with the guard, she said to try scanning my barcode again, and this time, I used my printed version and worked. Some other things that you may care about. There are sections of that garage that are very dark. I didn't feel threatened at all while I was there, but know you will need to walk through some dark parts of it even if you park in the well lit sections. You will also leave from the same place you enter. So that makes planning you ride home a little easier. I hope this helps the over...
Read moreThis place is great. You can prepay and just drive in with a barcode on the phone. They have dogs at the door and check under you car before you drive in which is really weird. After you exit the parking garage, elevator takes you directly to the back side of the museum. When there is a line to get in at the front, this offers you a shortcut. The best part is that the rate this place charges is considerable cheaper than others around it. If you stay a couple hours, the rate per hour is very reasonable. What we did was use this place to park the whole day, the used other transport going...
Read moreGreat location, easy access. Convenient separate entrance to museum, we avoided a long line. But if you prebook, be sure to give yourself maximum time at the end. We returned 45 minutes late and were charged $24 extra, but I'm pretty sure it would've cost the same if i had prebooked for the same time. We arrived 10 minutes early and the guards weren't sure if the gate would let us...
