Luisi Building Materials Company, Inc. — Local services in New York

This family owned business is ran by a bunch of scammers. I first showed the tiles I wanted and he said it was $7.6 a piece and that was the lowest they could go. After showing him the prices of another location, he instantly changes it to $5.5. I was buying 260 pieces, that's a huge difference... I should've saw the red flags at this point. I proceed to place the order of the tile I wanted and asked if they could leave it by the gates of my driveway. I showed them the picture of my drive way and he responded with "of course, no problem". On delivery day, I receive a call from them, "the tiles you wanted are sold out, we have others available". This is definitely not acceptable, because he specifically said they had the amount I needed in stock. They said it would take 10 weeks for them to get the ones I specifically ordered and ALREADY paid for. Due to the urgent need of the tiles, I decided to order a set of new tiles. Upon arrival they dumped the tiles on the sidewalk and insisted that they wouldn't put it where we agreed on. Terrible experience, they made multiple mistakes and when I wanted to cancel the order they told me I would be charged a restock fee and a delivery fee... Restock fee on tiles that they already had? Definitely would never come back. Bunch of scammers, they will promise you anything for you to pay. Once you pay you're basically screwed. Never been so disrespected before, and the owner then continues to yell at us, as if it was our fault. I never write any reviews regardless of my experience at...

I see a lot of reviews on this page and I am frankly surprised why my experience differs so much. Anyone buying materials here, BEWARE, ask questions and be more upfront. I purchased some roofing materials from this company, initially the sales person was very welcoming and nice, the people helping to load the materials were also very kind (their only redeeming quality). Unfortunately the materials we bought was not correct for the project, when we tried to return them, the same condition that it was sold to us, the store rejected it. I am not sure what the store's return policy was, however my husband was willing to pay the restock fee, still they did not accept it. When i say the same condition as it was purchased, we left it in our car trunk, did not even TOUCH IT, was told by our contractors the tiles cannot be used, we brought it back that same week - blatantly rejected, didn't even give a reason. Once transactions complete, its done....

For people looking at these reviews just know that with Luisi you are in good hands, honestly take my word for it. We are a general contractor and we've ordered hundreds of limestone pieces from this company. Their craftsmanship speaks for itself, their turnaround time and communication is elite, especially since in this business that is one the most important things, and it's what makes Luisi Building Material stand out. They truly care about the customer and also take the time to explain what type of stone you would need, they offer that input with truly makes a difference. When you do call make sure to ask for Junior or Mike, because these guys are elite at what they do.
