If you’ve stumbled upon Magic Iron, you just landed on a diamond mine. I’ve gone to many different hairstylists across numerous states, never satisfied with the finished result. My curse was lifted when I met Jay. Jay is a gifted craftsman, arguably a healer. He singlehandedly cured my deep hair trauma. After seeing Jay for about a year, my hair confidence only keeps growing — every single haircut I’ve gotten from him has been AMAZING. Ask for his insights on what hairstyle(s) might look best on you (it would be helpful to show him a couple of reference photos). He speaks both English and Korean fluently.

I can write a PhD dissertation on Jay, where I would defend him to the ends of the earth. Many clients, including myself, travel long distances just to see him. By far one of the best Korean hair salons in the Queens area! The hair stylists/barbers are so welcoming, kind, respectful, and overall create a very homey atmosphere. I came in for a perm + haircut and after finishing up, the man invited me for a re-perm (the initial perm didn’t marinate long enough). The re-perm was for free and it was clear that they care about the work they do!

It is clear that the workers take their craft very seriously and want to do the best work possible. 10/10 experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone...

Finally I found someone who has knowledge of doing Japanese straightening and cut the side bangs correctly , Jay and Sunny are both Great. Sunny has been my barber since when she was working in OHA. But I lost her contact when she quit, surprisingly found out she is working at Magic Iron. And Jay is super patient.

The price of this place is reasonable. Definitely it will be my future...
