Believe the good and the bad. Go at your own risk. It says on the website and if you call the Quest Diagnostics 1800 number they will tell you the same thing .. that āWalk-insā are welcome. Obviously appts are recommended but not mandatory. I have my own personal reasons as to why I was not able to make an appt but thatās not important. On 3/4/2021 they made me leave at around 10:30am when I arrived. The man at the door TOLD me that he couldnāt let me in because a patient called and complained that they werenāt following covid-19 safety procedures so he was instructed to turn any one away that didnāt not have an appt no matter what. I pointed out that there were only two women in the entire waiting area that could safely accommodate at least 10 people. I asked him why I couldnāt wait if walk-ins are welcome as it states on the website which even said there was a 3min wait time for walk-ins. He continued to say he wasnāt allowed to because of what had happened. That sounds like spite to me which another person who left a review said that people here are spiteful. After calling the 1800 quest number from the hallway to see if there was anything they could do... 30minutes later more patients arrived and quest corporate was finally able to get the Bayside Quest āSupervisorā on the phone. It was a 3-way phone call, I really hope they recorded that call because all I can say is that the āSupervisorā was trying to sound professional but you can tell her attitude was dying to come out with each sentence that came out of her mouth. She was not sympathetic or accommodating. In the span of the conversation with her she tried to tell me that there were too many people in the waiting area (obviously 30mins had gone by) and she mumbled something about that I wasnāt willing to wait (which was a lie because I told the man at the door I wanted to wait) she told me to google other locations and that there was another ānearbyā location on main st. (Any New Yorker with a brain knows they are not nearby but she said it anyway because the quest rep was listening ) She was condescending and I said it to her myself. HEY QUEST, either train your āsupervisorā to be professional and actually sound like it or find someone else. Everyone needs their jobs these days but if you are getting this many negative reviews , itās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible staff! I went to do my blood work just yesterday and before even did my blood work, the person in charge for it who did not understand no English or pretended she didn't kept running my debit card for copays that I had previously paid already and double charging me for my bloodwork tests I had to get done that day. When I asked for explanation since I had proof of my receipts I paid before and showing her that sheās double charging me for the same tests an extremely rude manager/phlebotomist waked in the room and attacked me me with a loud and very disrespectful tone and language and asking me āwhat is the problem here?!ā. Before I even got my bloodwork yet she put me as a patient in extremely stressful position and raised my blood pressure instead of keeping their patients calm. I asked her to get out of the room so I can get my blood work done and she told me with an attitude āhave fun!ā and walked out saying āI canāt deal with ridiculous peopleā. This person needs to get fired and go get some proper trainings to learn some manners and professionalism that she is very much lacking. I have receipts and I will get my money back as my health insurance assured me but I will also never go back to this center or recommend it to anyone. Every patient including myself have legitimate reasons due to health issues to go do blood work and deserve to be treated with patience, respect, and calmness and this is definitely not the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGod this place is horrible. Made and appointment for blood work, non-covid related but I have a medical condition so I made the earliest appointment possible, 7am. According to their web site itās supposed to be reserved for the elderly and people with underlying medical conditions. Yeah bull**! Get there well before 7 and people are standing in the stair well maintaining 6ft distance. There was no way of knowing you had to go into the waiting area (signs or visual direction) No one in the waiting area to answer question just a sign in tablet. By the time I get to the tablet and sign in it prompts me that Iām late for my appointment so itās changed to walk-in status and the wait is 30 minutes! Well, it wasnāt 30 minutes. Didnāt get seen for over 2 hours. And not until a nurse came out and was confronted about their lack of organization, honoring appointments. But wait, thereās more! So a nurse brings me back to a room, again only after I spoke up, lord knows how long I would have been waiting if I didnāt, but sheās still helping someone else. So Iām standing there waiting. She pops her head in to ask for my name, taps it into her computer and tells me my name isnāt there! I ask if she wants the confirmation # I got from the automated system which is returned with an attitude. She finally got another nurse to help me after standing there another 15 minutes. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere...
