Well, where do I start? My co-workers and I decided to check out North Shore Diner for an early lunch today, and boy, was that a mistake. The only thing that started off well was being greeted by a valet in the parking lot. It seemed like a classy touch at the time, but in retrospect, I suspect they’re there to distract you from the horror that awaits inside. As someone who’s eaten MREs and field rations in the military, I can tell you that even those meals would be considered gourmet compared to the slop we were served. The food at North Shore Diner is a masterclass in blandness. Seriously, if you’re looking for a meal where flavor goes to die, this is the place for you. We ordered cheeseburgers, asking for them to be cooked medium. They arrived well done and tasted nothing like meat. If there’s a prize for the most bland burger ever, North Shore Diner would win it hands down. A bit of salt and pepper might have gone a long way, but apparently, those are luxuries they don’t believe in. One of my colleagues went with a Reuben, and it was a revelation of how to ruin a classic. The meat was unseasoned, the sauerkraut was flavorless, and the bread was so soggy it felt like a cruel joke. The surprise of a soggy bottom was a special touch we could have done without. And let’s not forget the bill. A jaw-dropping $66, which ballooned to over $80 after tip. We tipped, of course, because the server is not to blame for the culinary catastrophe. But honestly, I’d rather have spent that money on a meal anywhere else, even if it meant foregoing the valet experience. In summary, if you’re in the mood for a dining experience that will make you question your life choices, North Shore Diner is the place to go. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. Read moreNot so good experience unfortunately, the 1st time we tried this place was during dinner and we ordered a burger and fries the one female waitress we had was literally standing over her customers when it was time to tip. Any time you needed something she was no where to be found, so we never went back until this weekend to give it a try. Welp the 2nd time around I got food positioning was sick as a dog I ordered omelet with mushrooms & onions with a side of bacon and sausage, my husband ordered a sausage omelet. Well literally like literally 4 min later the food came out, I looked at my husband and said that was too quick that should have been my instinct not to eat it. Well about 3 hours later I was throwing up every hour on the hour and had to go to the emergency room because it was so bad. And that was on Saturday, yesterday I went to my PCP to follow up and he as well confirmed food poisoning not anything else. My husband's had the runs so it was that for sure. Please make sure they take there time cooking and alot of these places pre cook the meats and have them laying out for God knows how long and then there's bacteria and then we have food positioning. Very disappointed and unfortunately I will never return there again. Please Northern Diner make sure you cook your meats to order not have it laying in the back waiting to...
Read moreI went here for breakfast and left my car with the valet they have. Upon finishing my meal I went out to the parking lot, gave my card to the valet and since they were busy he asked if I didn't mind to take my car on my own, I said no problem, took the key and walked to my car. Upon reaching my car I found he had not only parked it on the sidewalk but he had left it parked with both windows rolled all the way down-so the entire time I was inside eating my meal for over an hour my car was parked on the sidewalk with both windows opened all the way down which he had opened because I didn't give him the car like that. Someone could have easily stolen something from inside or even stolen my vehicle. I just find this completely ridiculous and unprofessional to say the least. It shows a complete disregard and disrespect of the customer and incompetence of the owner of this diner. This is completely unacceptable. This was the only time I had ever been to this diner and it will also be...
