Hello . I’m writing to you because of an incident that happened this past Wednesday. I came in with my friend early Wednesday afternoon and ordered a few pastries and frappes. We also ordered 2 romeo and Juliette crepes to go for my kids we paid the bill and left a tip to the girl behind the bakery counter. She was very sweet and helpful . She handed us our frappes and the box with the pastries . As we were waiting for the crepes we decided to sit and eat a pastry so we proceeded to walk towards the middle of the store (bar area). There were two waitresses in that section and a man behind the bar: We were told by one of the young waitresses in that section that we couldn’t sit there. We asked her why couldn’t we and explained we have been there many times and no one ever gave us a problem before and she said that we just can’t ( no explanation). There was only one man sitting at a table in that section with a glass of water waiting for his friend to come . She said we have to go sit in the front of the store . We didn’t want to sit in the front with the older men who just sit there all day and watch everyone coming in and out of the store. ( and making comments about women in Greek) also the seating is more cramped and we wanted to enjoy our pastries. We’ve been customers there for many years. I’m 45 now and I used to come there with my friends when I was in high school living in queens . Now I live further east in Suffolk and come with my family to celebrate Namedays,, birthdays and other occasion .I don’t understand why it was such a big deal? We were spoken to like we were little kids by this young girl. We told her in Greek that we aren’t going to sit in the front . We were there for around 15 minutes waiting for the crepes. When the crepes came we had already ate and cleaned up . The man who was there with just a glass of water was still there waiting for his friend .We left a tip to the lady who packed our crepes and pastries but really just wanted to get up and leave but we had already paid . this incident left us with a bad taste. I could understand if it was later in the evening where there are a lot more customers that go there to dine since its sons restaurant but it was 1 pm on a Wednesday. We explained to the waitress (in Greek) we were waiting for our order of crepes and that we wouldn’t be long . She insisted that we couldn’t sit down in that section and seemed annoyed . That was very rude . What she should have done was just smile and offer us utensils to eat our food and of course she would get a tip : but instead she made us feel unwanted . That’s not how you treat customers. That’s why I gave 1star for service . As far as food I’ll give...
Read moreThe time is about 08:10 PM - 08:30 PM. I reach the restaurant and my family who have already eaten elsewhere.
I didn’t eat elsewhere. I came out of school and work. It was one of those 12+ hour days and I had eaten just one sandwich all day. So I’m starving.
The food: I ordered a well-done steak, tenders, and a sprite. Here is why I gave this place 2 stars-
Conclusion: Food, good. Ambience and atmosphere, good. Service, which in my opinion is the heart of restaurants, terrible terrible terrible. I’d give it -1 stars if I could. They really need to teach these servers how to have a more positive and diligent attitude in their work. Disgusting service. Wouldn’t give...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment with the service my family and I received this afternoon at your restaurant. I believe it is important to bring these issues to your attention so that you can address them and improve the overall customer experience.
Firstly, when we requested to be seated at another table, we were informed that it was reserved for larger groups. However, shortly after, two females with a baby were seated at that exact table without any issue. This inconsistency in the seating policy left us feeling disregarded and confused.
Secondly, we had to wait for a considerable amount of time before a waitress attended to our table. During this wait, we noticed that multiple workers were visibly observing us and gesturing to each other while laughing. This behavior was unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable as customers. Eventually, a waitress approached our table, but her attitude conveyed a lack of enthusiasm or genuine interest in serving us. It was evident that she did not prioritize our needs, as other customers who arrived after us were attended to before us.
I have dined at your establishment in the past without encountering any issues, which makes this particular incident even more disappointing. The waitress in question, who had blonde hair and blue eyes, demonstrated a clear need for improvement in her demeanor and customer service skills. She did not greet us with a smile or a welcoming attitude and took our order with an unappealing expression on her face. Moreover, when it came to providing change, she inappropriately suggested her own amount of tip without considering our preference.
I believe it is essential for your staff to uphold high standards of professionalism, courtesy, and fairness when serving customers. I hope you will take my feedback into consideration and address these concerns promptly. By doing so, you can ensure that future customers have a more positive dining experience at your restaurant.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing improvements in your...
