When I found Lorin's name on a list of top make-up artists in New York, I didn't realize how much I lucked out by choosing her service until I had my appointment. I booked a make-up consultation and lesson with her in preparation for my upcoming destination wedding. Since the resort where I am getting my make up done does not have any photos of their work, my sister and I wanted to make sure we could do my make up well on our own if necessary. I've been stressed about it, and Lorin was the answer to my prayers.

Not only did Lorin apply my make-up flawlessly, she took the time to listen to my concerns and preferences. She worked carefully and gave my sister and I clear instructions on what she was doing and the products she was using throughout the entire process. At one point, she had my sister practice doing the shadow and eyeliner so that she would feel even more comfortable and prepared to apply it on my wedding day. Lorin was incredibly patient with my sister and helped her until she had perfected the look. After she finished my make up, she wrote detailed step-by-step instructions (with visuals) of the process, as well as the products she used on my face. I was amazed by the extra time and attention she gave us. It's obvious that she takes pride in her work and genuinely enjoys making others feel good about themselves. I have never felt more beautiful.

I cannot recommend Lorin highly enough. She is a true artist and her work is perfection. Beyond that, she is a lovely, friendly and warm person who made my sister and I feel comfortable enough to ask questions and get clarification. We left feeling much more confident not only about applying my wedding day make-up, but make-up in general! That was the first time I used Lorin's services, but it certainly will not...

Finding the perfect makeup artist was very hard. I consider myself very lucky to know Lorin. I liked how her looks weren’t based on simply what’s in fashion or what other artists are doing, but instead she took her own initiative to create two perfect beautiful looks for me. The day of my wedding, I could tell she had taken care in remembering everything we had discussed and tried out. Every detail had been catered and individualized towards me. The first time I saw myself in the mirror I was overwhelmed. I had never seen myself look like this….I was expecting elegance and class….and this is exactly what Lorin delivered. She was able to perfectly create the look above my expectations. She was able to create a dramatic yet subtle look to work for both a day time ceremony and evening event.

Her work really is art and she is absolutely amazing at her job! I would have been lost without Lorin’s skills, professionalism and style. I cannot thank her enough for all the care and passion she put into making me the stunning bride all my guests said I was!!

Lorin you are a truly talented individual with a natural flair for seeing the natural beauty in every woman. A true professional in every sense of the word. You are the artist who could transform me into the bride I wanted to be. I couldn’t believe how good I looked. I am over the moon with the way I looked and the feedback from my family and friends was ‘you looked amazing. Thank you Lorin, you were exceptionally helpful to me; you are just amazing and will forever be part of one of my favorite memories of such a special day.

"Best recommendation I ever received"!!!

I was recently talking to a good friend about how I was feeling down in the dumps about my looks and thinking about getting some work done. I mentioned a permanent lip enhancement, having the bags under my eyes removed and taking away what my mother loving called "A Turkey Neck" with a face lift.

My friend suggested that I contact Lorin Cole before spending a fortune on plastic surgery and have her do a "makeover" for me. I wasn't sure as I have had my makeup done before and was lets say....very unhappy and never felt natural when they were done.

Since I really didn't want to go "under the knife" I felt it was worth a call. Well it was the BEST thing I have ever done!

I could not believe the transformation and in fact didn't recognize the younger woman staring back at me in the mirror when she was done. Aside from the age difference, my makeup was flawless and extremely natural.

I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to duplicate my "youthful look" but proved myself wrong. I don't think I have ever met anyone with such patience and skill for teaching. Lorin spent a lot longer than the scheduled consultation time and would not except more money (which I was gladly willing to pay). She explained to me that it was more important that I was happy with the final result. She showed me step by step how to do the "tricks" at home that made me feel so much better about myself.

Lorin is a true artist and one of the nicest and most genuine people I have ever dealt with. I can't recommend her highly enough.
