This cozy diner in Murray Hill is the perfect spot for a casual meal. I recently had the spinach bacon omelette, the wait time is short and it was simple but satisfying. What truly stood out, however, was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The diner exudes a old-school, hometown vibe with its retro decor and comfortable seating. The staff is incredibly friendly, making you feel like a regular even on your first visit. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast or brunch while chatting with the staff, who are attentive without being overbearing. The friendly banter between the servers and customers adds a personal touch that makes the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or a longer meal, you’ll appreciate the laid-back and inviting vibe. If you're looking for great food served with a side of hospitality, this diner is definitely worth checking out.

Saw online steak and eggs for 16.95 felt a little sketchy so I called for pickup. I asked them if the online menu was true and they smartly responded if it’s online they have it. So I ordered it for pickup over the phone and decided I wanted to try it out. I go in to pickup and the bill is 49 dollars before tax. I told the guy that’s not the price that was online and that it was my fault for not asking the price earlier. I do realize I should’ve asked for the price earlier but I also realized that he never even told me a price over the phone earlier, just it will be ready in 15 minutes. Customer service was awful and honestly im glad I didn’t get ripped off for 49 dollar steak and eggs that probably would’ve been subpar anyway.

Visited several times during my stay along with my adult daughters. The second we walked in we felt comfortable. The food was made to order perfectly and delivered to the table smoking hot. The staff recognized us from our prior visit and that spoke volumes to tourist that are traveling from a smaller, and I mean much smaller city. We really wanted to stop in one last time before we left, but there just wasn't time in our morning. We reminisced of such a great atmosphere along with the endless (seemingly) menu and wishing we had a Townhouse Diner that we could walk to everyday...well..only if the staff comes along with! Thank you for such an amazing experience and we can't wait to come back!!!

Horrible. Just horrible. Please avoid if you don’t want your day / week ruined.

Waitress didn’t want to accept our lunch menu order that we wanted. No effort to check whether they could do it - just refused. We should have left at that moment.

She then tried to upsell us to a different menu option when we selected something. Wanted us to choose a pricier option (to increase her tip - see below). She had no shame at all in nastily shaming us with “that’s all you’re having?!”

She then got the idea we were tourists and we didn’t like this. We aren’t interested in any false friendliness in order to elicit gratuities (again see below for this woman’s eventual behaviour). This is very jarring for people from other cultures, whatever American serving staff might think.

The bill was presented with a pre-decided gratuity on it, highlighted in yellow 5+ times so there was no chance we would miss it. This was the only element highlighted. It was honesty very undignified behaviour for a grown woman and disgusted us. She had worked out for herself what her service was worth and presented it as a fait accompli. I found it coercive and aggressive. We are familiar with fixed service charges and discretionary tips and have seen both in NYC. A random amount (7$) chosen by the waitress, for herself, had us lost for words.

I really felt very emotional and almost in tears by this behaviour. It was so needlessly aggressive and horrible.

I won’t be back and I’m afraid I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Honestly, it ruined my...

Really impressed with the service and the way we were treated while having breakfast here. We were greeted like we were regulars who ate there every day. After placing our order a person who I assume was the owner came by and gave us a fruit salad on the house. No reason as we had just been seated for a few minutes and nothing had gone wrong. He just said this is for you guys. What a nice touch and appreciated this gesture. The fruit salad was fresh and tasty. Our order came quickly and zero to complain about. Everything was good. Wife had scrambled eggs, homefries and sausage. I had a Greek Omelette wrap. My wife thought her coffee was especially good. Our waitress was the best. Attentive service, but not intrusive. She was genuinely friendly as well. After paying our check and on our way out the owner said "here's a little something for you" giving my wife a nice sized cookie ( the kind you would get at a bakery). Once again, what a nice touch. Don't know if everyone that eats there gets this type of treatment, but I wouldn't be surprised. An absolute pleasure to dine here. You will not be disappointed if you choose to dine at the...
