My two friends and I went on a Friday at 7pm. It was packed. The music was good and the crowd was a vibe. The two bartenders that were there had an attitude because it was busy, I guess.
My friends ordered their drinks first because I hadnât eaten yet and I wanted some wings or something before drinking. My friend was going to pay the two drinks with her card. The bartender only charged one drink. So my other friend gave her card for the other drink and the bartender charged the card $180 for only a $18 drink and she got taken to another floor to get refunded and got her drink on the house after the mishap.
All three of us spent more than 20 mins waving and calling both bartenders to order my drink and wings for all of us. They would not look up at all. Their gaze was just down at the drinks and not at us and the other 10+ people trying to order more drinks. They were also constantly mumbling under their breath, mumbling to each other, and rolling their eyes.
One of my friends even finished her drink a lil fast and they didnât ask her like âhey, is everything good? Would you like another drink?â or nothing like normal friendly bartenders do.
My friend was pissed that they had finished their drinks and I didnât have the chance to order mine to drink with them and she almost had to climb over the bar to get the other bartenderâs attention that hadnât attended us yet. And she said she would get my drink and moved away so fast that my friend didnât even get to order the wings.
Another like 20-30 mins passed we werenât able to get their attention again to order the wings and my drink never arrived - mind you all I wanted was a glass of Chardonnay. It wasnât even a crazy drink to make⌠and we ended up leaving and going to Tangram mall instead.
Maybe they should hire more bartenders for happy hour on Fridays to be able to handle the crowd . Horrible service. I like the Oo bar on the 8th...
Read moreIâm writing this review based on my experience last night. This was the first time I ever went. My friend brought me there saying this spot is usually good. The security/ID checking guys charged us $30 cover charge, I was hesitant at first due to not seeing many people out last night, but one of the security guys made it seem like it was popping, lit, and worth the cover. So we were like ok fine, letâs go. Rode the elevator up to the 8th floor, the place was not lit, not many people, very few if any single ladies. The music was decent, dance, house, Latin. I bought my friend and I a beer, a Coors Light & Stella = $20. LOL GTFOH. You live and you learn. Last Saturday night 10/22/23 at Moonbar was whack, and I felt like I got scammed. Iâm not going back on weekends, maybe early during the day for the rooftop views as long as I donât have to pay cover. Suggestions: $30 Cover is probably going to lose you more customers in the long run than make $. If it was $10 cover, I wouldnât have cared so much, but $60 for 2 people, we couldâve ate great meals at a Chinese restaurant 10...
Read moreGO AT YOUR OWN RISK ! Go if you intend to spend an exsorbent amount of money with less than par service. The bartenders donât respect your time nor your money. If you want to pay 20$ for a weak sugary cocktail and a whole lot of bad attitude, then The Moon Bar got you covered. Yes, it is enticing to visit a rooftop bar at the end of the week but donât go to this one. There are others in Flushing. I have never not left a tip for any service establishment I visited. The Moon Bar broke that record. The unprofessionalism is unbelievable and inexcusable. There is no reason to have finished an open tab and have to wait over 20min to close out. The bartender that originally took our order had to close out the order. The bartender that took our order left the bar so we had to wait until she got back. How in the hell does that make sense? Mean while we are watching at least 4 other workers tend a bar that had absolutely no idea what they were doing and other patrons getting upset. All now I can say is you that âYOU HAVE NOW BEEN WARNED.â Waist your time and money if...
