Flushing’s 'Dragon Inn' – Authentic Sichuan & Chongqing 'Jianghu' Cuisine

As a recent guest at the Ramada by Wyndham Flushing Queens, I feel compelled to share my honest experience. Despite the enticing images on the official Wyndham website, the reality fell far short of expectations. Our stay from 5/10 to 5/12/2024, in room #305 was underwhelming, to say the least. The first striking aspect was the outdated decor, which extended from the lobby to our room. The headboards, furniture, and tired carpeting were reminiscent of a bygone era, far from the modern ambiance portrayed online. It's evident that the hotel is in dire need of renovation, as the aging infrastructure fails to deliver the promised comfort. Moreover, the stark contrast between the online portrayal and the actual condition of the hotel raises concerns about the credibility of online reviews. It's disheartening to see potentially biased or paid reviews painting a rosier picture than reality. Adding to the disappointment, the rooms were extremely small and consisted of the bare minimum. With four adults sharing a 2 Double bed room, space was at a premium, making it challenging to move around comfortably. Despite these shortcomings, there were some positives. The staff were friendly and accommodating, doing their best to mitigate the disappointments of the outdated facilities. Additionally, the location was convenient for exploring Flushing Queens. In conclusion, while the Ramada by Wyndham Flushing Queens may have once been a reputable choice, its current state leaves much to be desired. For those seeking a modern and comfortable stay, it's advisable to manage expectations and perhaps look elsewhere until renovations are undertaken.

**MY PHOTOS ARE AFTER WE STAYED! Didn’t get the chance to get before photos while it was neat, but the hotel room was clean and tidy! This hotel is very clean and is very nice for the price! The front desk were always so kind and helped us with any questions, and even let us leave our baggage there before check in so we could explore Flushing! There were a lot of stores and restaurants nearby to explore and eat throughout our 3 day stay! Our room was kept cool with the strong AC, and I will say the blankets are super heavy and will definitely keep you warm! I ended up using the thin sheets as a blanket so I didn’t overheat haha. There’s also a TV with typical TV channels, but feel free to bring an HDMI to connect your laptop to the screen if needed :) They also have free breakfast downstairs consisting of 4 different cereals, muffins/donut bites/toast, fried rice, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and rice porridge! And to drink there’s coffee, orange juice, apple juice, water, and milk! I will say the doors are pretty thin so you’re able to hear what goes on in the halls like the ice machine being used or a cart going by, but those were rare occurrences for us so we had no issues! I also accidentally forgot my phone in the lobby, and the front desk had it but doubled checked and asked me to put my passcode in, so I appreciate that they’re extra secure with missing things! 🥹 Overall we were very happy with our stay and wouldn’t mind coming back in the future! 😊❤️

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Ramada by Wyndham Flushing Queens, and I must say it was a pleasant experience overall. Here's a detailed review of my stay:

Location (4/5): The hotel's location is quite convenient, especially if you have business or plans in the Flushing area. It's close to public transportation options, making it easy to explore New York City. However, the immediate surroundings are not particularly scenic.

Check-in and Service (4/5): Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. They were quick to address any questions or concerns I had during my stay.

Room (3.5/5): The room was clean and adequately sized, but it felt a bit outdated. The decor could use a refresh, and some of the furniture showed signs of wear and tear. However, the bed was comfortable, and the room had all the essential amenities, including a coffee maker and a mini-fridge.

Cleanliness (4/5): The hotel appeared to be well-maintained in terms of cleanliness. Housekeeping did a good job, and I felt comfortable in my room.

Wi-Fi (4/5): The Wi-Fi signal was strong and reliable throughout my stay, which was crucial for both work and leisure.

Dining (3/5): The hotel has a restaurant on-site, but I didn't have the chance to try it. There are plenty of dining options within walking distance in Flushing, which is known for its diverse culinary scene.

Amenities (3.5/5): The Ramada offered some nice amenities, including a fitness center and a business center. However, I would have appreciated more modern equipment in the fitness center.

Value for Money (3.5/5): While my stay was comfortable, I felt that the price was slightly on the higher side for the quality of the room and amenities provided. It's worth considering if the location is a top priority for your trip.

Overall Experience (3.5/5): The Ramada by Wyndham Flushing Queens is a decent hotel for a short stay, primarily due to its convenient location. The staff is friendly, and the cleanliness standards are good. However, some room renovations and updates would enhance the overall guest experience.

In summary, my stay at the Ramada by Wyndham Flushing Queens was satisfactory, with a few areas where improvements could be made. It's a suitable choice if you need a hotel in this specific area of Queens, but keep in mind that it may not offer the same level of luxury as some other options in the...

PLEASE DONT COME HERE!!!!! This was the worst hotel I have ever been to. When my friend and I arrived, the check-in was quick and the staff at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. However, when we got to our room, that was a different story. The bathroom was clean but the headboard attached to the bed was ripped up and falling a part on both beds.

On top of that, the carpet was old and very dingy. The worst part of our stay was heating and wifi issues. The entire building was freezing cold throughout our entire stay because the AC was on and it’s freezing outside. The AC was on in our room but set to 30 seconds to blast the heat but then switched to cold. The AC was also very loud which made it very hard to sleep. Even the dining room was freezing cold which made it difficult to stay down there and eat breakfast. It got so cold in the building I had to go downstairs to front desk to ask why the AC was on. The guy at the front confirmed the AC was on in the building but didn’t explain why. Instead, he gave me a portable heater and told me to use it in the room to keep me warm. The wifi was also very crappy! Every time I logged in to the wifi, it wouldn’t connect and kicked me out, so I had to end up using my cellular data.

The complimentary breakfast was NOT good at all. The fried rice was old and you could tell they kept reheating the left overs, the tea, cereal, mini muffins and croissants were low quality and did not taste good at all.

The shower had no lining for the curtain to prevent water from spilling over onto the floor, the soap holder was ripped out from the wall, the safety lock on the door was broken, the shower and tub you can tell wasn’t cleaned.

When we asked for someone to take up the garbage, I was told to leave outside the door. The garbage sat there for 12 hours piling up by the door and no one came to pick it up. The bed sheets were not changed at all and dirty. When we checked between the sheets, there was hair all over the bed. This place should not be open to the public at all and I am...

I had a horrible experience at this hotel. I had a reservation booked and when I showed up, they couldn’t located it. They turned me away without any type of resolution, even when I pulled my confirmation number up for them. I had a 1 bed room booked. They told me they didn’t even have 1 beds available for the night, only 1+ bed rooms. I called customer service to try to resolve. They pulled my confirmation up and verified it was all there. I let customer service know they did have rooms available, just not one I requested. They had asked me to see if they could at least check me in for the night (since it was already 9PM) and the next morning they can try to figure it out with IT. I went to the front desk to ask if they could. She quickly stated they didn’t have any rooms available. I was confused because she said they did so I asked again and let her know that she told me prior that she did. She and the other girl at the desk just looked at each other and said no, we are full. Frustrated, I walked away and continued my phone call with customer service. In the end, they would not let me stay, EVEN WITH MY RESERVATION. They would not accommodate to the situation and check me in for a different room. In the end, I filed a case for this with customer service and they told me the manager should reach out to me to resolve the matters. The general manager never called so they requested the DM to call after a week. No one has reached out and it’s been 2 weeks and multiple calls with customer service. They never reimbursed my money until I called and demanded it back. We had to frantically search for a new hotel and pay outrageous prices for the night of booking. They were very unprofessional handling this situation and I’m honestly in shock that no type of management has reached out to apologize. Rather than them fixing it, I had to resolve this with the customer service team. I am posting this review in hopes that management will see how frustrated and disappointed I am with their...
