Not only would I not recommend this hotel, I am following through with reporting them for PCI noncompliance. I was put in this hotel by American Airlines after my flight was canceled. I decided to go downstairs and eat dinner in the restaurant. At the end of my meal, the waiter informed me that they were only accepting cash due to their computer being down. I asked when did this happen and why wasn't I notified before I ordered. He stated that it occurred during my meal; however, I recall the couple sitting behind me jokingly telling a waiter that they came up with enough pennies for their order. When I travel, I do not carry cash. I informed him that I did not have cash. He told me I could get cash out of the hotels ATM. I also do not carry an ATM card while traveling. I offered to come down and pay it in the morning before I left which would give the company time to fix their computer. He informed me that it wouldn't be fixed for a couple of days and asked if he could take a picture of my credit card. I declined this and he contacted his manager. His manager (Peter) asked to speak to me so he handed me the phone. Peter spent the next several minutes raising his voice and bullying me to the point of threatening to call the police on me over $8 and because I refused to allow them to take a picture of my credit card. I encouraged him to call the police. He also informed me that they do this all the time and it has never been a problem in the past. What business establishment takes pictures of their customer's credit cards? This is illegal and will be reported. The end result of this entire ridiculous ordeal after I encouraged him to call the police was that they would inform me the same thing he was stating. He then informed me that I could go to the hotel desk and allow them to charge my card for the $8 balance which was technically more than the stated ticket amount. He wasn't the restaurant manager. He is the hotel owner! Take what you want from this experience, but I will be reporting this to American Airlines as well as PCI. I highly encourage you to find somewhere...
Read moreI don't know why anyone would rate this hotel excellent.
Positives: Hotel is clean. Front Desk people are nice and can be helpful Exercise Room is clean and nice
Negatives: Everything else....The Hotel's Restaurant was absolutely nasty. Also, you cannot bill to your hotel room since it is a separate restaurant. How stupid is that?!? They have a door directly attached to the hotel, yet you can't charge to your room. The food that is posted on the walls and all over the hotel must have been taken at a real restaurant and brought here. I am far from a picky eater and the marinara sauce was absolutely gross. Hotel is in the middle of Chinese food land and there is literally NOTHING to eat but Chinese food in the area. If you don't have a car or you don't want to ride the #7 L to somewhere decent to eat, you are stuck. Be warned corporate, business, government travelers that 99% of the restaurants in the area are "CASH ONLY". Parking is a nightmare also. $19.25 a night and every time you leave the hotel you have to pay cash/credit card and you can get it billed to your room, but you have to take the parking stub to the front desk and tell them your room number every single time you leave. They also make you leave your keys in the car (I prayed there was no joy riding!) AND they leave the driver side window down all night long. Also, they bill you up front for the full charge of your reservation. I had to change hotels and after a back and forth with the front desk person, they didn't charge me. If you can find another hotel for the high prices they charge, I highly recommend that you do so. I refuse to ever stay here again when on business...
Read moreSuch a beautiful hotel amidst the heavy Chinatown area. My family stayed here for a mini reunion and we all had a pleasant and comfortable stay. We accommodated three 2 bedrooms and they were really spacious and nicely appointed. The layout was slightly in all but they are definitely enough for up to 6 people, though one of them only had a twin size pull out couch. The bedrooms could also do with 2 night tables , as opposed to just 1.. A TV in the living room would be a nice addition especially if someone is sleeping in there. I would recommend this hotel completely, there were a few draw backs like parking ( not on site , and may not be available for overnight stays ) and a few housekeeping issues but I respect and loved how hotel management responded to my concerns . We couldn't stop raving about the cleanliness of this hotel, I can see the pride they take throughout the entire property to keep it clean. Nice decor too, nice fitness room, great service from the airport shuttle and the hot breakfast buffet is unbeatable especially in thar area where you can't find any other food except Chinese cuisine. Every staff we encountered was respectable, professional, courteous and helpful. This place aims to please I can tell. Definitely I great deal and pick for this area. Mia at the front desk is such a pleasure to speak to- prior to arrival and during our stay she's a delight. Rome was too as well and the Asst. GM Way to go Marco LaGuardia 👏 👍 No perfect place out there and I hope the issues I brought to your attention will be corrected so future guests won't encounter what I did. Great...
