UPDATE: turns out more plants from this store had pests. Thrips. BE WARNED!!! Be warned, I got sold a plant with spider mites from this store. I was wondering why a beautifully grown and flowering hibiscus was so cheap... I've been battling it ever since. It became known barely a few days into bringing it home. Such a shame. That said, one guy at the store was sweet and gave good guidance on which plants to select (he didn't suggest the hibiscus, I picked that one, but it was on display in the very front). Really disappointed with my struggles but I'm fighting to keep the hibiscus alive.

Natty Gardens is such a special place. The staff is incredibly kind and always willing to share tips or answer questions, no matter how big or small. The space feels like a little green oasis, and the plant selection is thoughtful, healthy, and always inspiring. Whether I’m looking for something specific or just stopping by to browse, I always leave feeling refreshed and excited to grow something new. Highly recommend for anyone who loves plants or just wants a peaceful moment in their day.

My husband and I visited this shop for the first time today with my snake plant that was in an emergency situation lol. No other shop was as helpful as Nurain was! She repotted the plant, let us know the right type of soil to use, how to water it and even provided a buddy for Naki to grow with 😊. I'm so glad I made the choice to come here and I know we'll be back! Bring a few extra dollars to leave a tip! The service is friendly, affordable, efficient, and informative!

This place is a big disappointment. This is the second day in a row that I’ve come here and it’s not open. Yesterday I was in at 230 pm to buy a monstera deliciosa for my mother since it is her birthday today. The location was closed and a worker who was in the basement told me they would reopen at 4. I came back at 4:30 and it was still closed. Figuring it was just a fluke I came back today at 9:15 am to buy the plant and also a succulent for my bathroom. Again the location was closed and there was a cleaning professional outside who was also waiting to get in. I called the Washington Ave location and they were extremely dismissive and straight up rude about rectifying the issue with this location, I asked them to contact the owner and they said ā€œthey’re busy unpacking plants and will see if they get around to itā€ and hung up which I found to be very negligent as there was a line of people that waiting to spend their money and now this business has lost 2 days of revenue. It’s extremely sad to see this business revert to such subpar customer service and I honestly don’t know if I will spend any more money here. I buy like $50 worth of plants every other week and I’ll just have to take my...

I love Natty Garden. I’ve gotten really into houseplants now that I don’t grow the really fun stuff anymore. I can’t let my green thumb go to waste! The staff I’ve encountered have been friendly and they are educated on the plants. And they have everything you need. Plus they repot for a little extra fee.

I can only give three stars because I’m in a new apartment. All 4 of my plants and pots are from them. And all of the plants were potted by them at purchase. These babies are fully indoors and all purchased in this two week timeframe. There’s no other place they could’ve gotten spider mites from. While shopping, I noticed quite a few plants that needed to be rehabilitated. So I picked my plants very carefully. Unfortunately you can’t see things as small as mites in the early stages. I think extra care on the stocker’s part should’ve been taken to separate the obviously bad plants and treat them. Or at least return to your supplier. I would recommend that Natty Garden releases predatory mites in the shop. It will save the store money...

Longtime customer of NG (both here and prospect heights) who had an upsetting encounter here today, Saturday. Will spare details but I was inquiring about a potential return of something I bought that I believe was defective. The sales person - a youngish kid - who assisted me was unhinged and incredibly rude. He was callous and super unprofessional. At one point he was so out of control he started throwing plants on the floor. It was wild. I want to support local business and hate going to places like Home Depot. But the (lack of) quality of some the merchandise here coupled with the absolute unprofessional of one of their staff members makes me never want to return.

Finally, I’ll add that I’ve had encounters with other staff here who are super kind and helpful. I hope this young man is an aberration but I want the owners to know he is making loyal customers...
