My goddaughter and I sat here at Fulton Park to catch some sun rays and stray away from any potential neighborhood antics due to the 4th after our brunch. Much to our surprise or cultural expectation, we noticed that the Borough President Antonio Renoyso & the NYC Parks Department have not curated this Bedford-Stuyvesant space at all this year (or perhaps a couple of yrs). As you will see by the photos, the overgrown grass and weeds, there are impatients (flowers), planted around the statue that are clearly thirsting for water in this humid climate. There is no irrigation system in place. The bathrooms should remain open at least until 6pm, nor 4pm.
In addition, the Charles Pinn Triangle, adjacent to Fulton Park, is also neglected as things continue to overgrow.
Summer should bring more jobs for the Parks Department to tighten up the neighborhood parks, trees, bus stops, etc in ALL the BKlyn...
